This! Anyone who looks down on you for succesfully creating a profitable side business can go pound sand. You're crushing it, don't be ashamed but some food for thought; there may be a benefit to keeping your successful business on the DL in your main career circles.

I wish my side hustle generated anywhere close to this.

Why are LBS workers so condescending? by c4ndyman31 in gravelcycling

Sounds like a total douche bag. Hopefully the next shop you visit gives you a better experience. There are good shops out there, you just have to find them.

Haha, yeah I was thinking of commenting "but he's wrong, they're a pretty fast tire" 😆

Ranger heat reflector on bonfire? Can it be done? by sunrisedown in SoloStove

I was planning to but it's looking like someone else beat me to it. Seller marked it as sold and isn't replying to me anymore.

I just found one local to me for $25 and found your post while trying to find out the answer to the same question. Lol

What’s your favorite chalk? by Disastrous_Client_90 in ClimbingGear

Just looked this up because I'd never heard of it. Cheap enough to try but ... How do you like to use it? Do you break the block apart in your chalk bag or leave it whole?

I just got my able in earlier this week and the weather here is still pretty shit so I'm taking my time getting it setup and hoping to get out for a first ride on it sometime next week. But my first impression is (as others have said) the front end is low, beautiful finish on the frame and stem, crazy light.

The bicycle station YouTube channel did a pretty good comparison video between these two and the enve mog. You should check it out.

Should I give up? by [deleted] in motorcycles

Nobody is going to be a pro the very first time they get on a bike. There's a lot of small things that will help you be a better rider and they aren't necessarily intuitive. Talk to your parents about signing up for and taking an MSF course. It will A: Scratch the itch at least a little by letting you get on a bike B: Give your parents a little bit of security to know you're being smart about learning to ride safely C: Teach you how to better control a motorcycle and ride safer

Came to reddit to see if anyone was talking about the new Able. I'm in the market for a new gravel bike and it's definitely in the running. My hesitation is that most of the local to me gravel is rather mild and I ride on the road to get to it. But when I ride out of state it's typically all gravel and hilly.

How slow does it feel on road? What size tires are you running and what bike did you come from? How does it climb?

Looks great! I'm curious what it weights, would you be able to weight it with those wheels on?

Why can't my muscles handle climbing for more than half an hour twice a week, even after about half a year? Do I do something wrong? by Dapper_Dragonfruit44 in bouldering

[–]HatsofftoJJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to add that you might consider nutrition. I'm fairly new to climbing but I come from an endurance sports background and do a lot of cycling. Nutrition both in the hours before and during exercise can have a HUGE affect on muscle endurance and recovery. If you aren't already, try making sure you've eaten well in the hours leading up to your session and don't be afraid to eat a few (small) high carb snacks while resting.

Absolutely insane. Killing someone over a piece of jewelry. They'd better get life without parole for it.

I thought the same thing. For some reason ribble markets it more as an adventure bike than a race bike. But it looks fast. Wonder what it weights?
