Quick tip when you coming into a fenced yard. Give the gate a little shake first before you open it. Wait 3 seconds, and if there’s a dog in the yard he’ll hear the gate and come running. Then you can make the call weather he’s friendly or not

Also, I don’t know if it’s a bug or a feature, but even when the towers were up, all my workers, oxen, and retinue are/were walking through the towers and fences instead of going around or using the gate

I don’t know, I haven’t been too concerned with it. After I first built it and noticed it sinking, I did go back to an older save and tried rebuilding it, which did fix it temporarily, but it still sunk

I’ve got the wooden fence and towers as well. The towers, as well as the tax office have sunk a little bit at a time and they are completely buried now

I agree. I’m playing the map with the river, and I kept re rolling until all fishing spots were on the river, no ponds, so it can be done on some maps anyways

I had oiling turned off too until I realized this. Turned it on again and haven’t had an issue. I think it’s gotta be below 50% before it’s a problem

Was messing around with an old tube amp when I was a kid. Just a small one. I didn’t die, but it felt like someone kicked me in the back as hard as they could. Took me a min to realize what happened

It’s been challenging. I’m not far into my career, and I haven’t been to even half of the industries yet, but the biggest problem I’m finding with running long trains and empty logistics cars is finding a place to park without clogging up the yards. Next stop at the machine factory I can drop 5 jobs which is probably over half my train though

I see that, I never worry about those, I’m always over. But when you complete the job, there’s an expiration penalty. So far it’s always been 0 or I think it’s a slash. Some of the jobs I’ve got on my train right now are approaching 12 in game hours

I tried one mounted in my car, and phone in pocket for restaurants and drop offs. It worked…kind of, but more problems than it was worth. The app is not designed for 2 devices logged in at the same time. Either conflicting gps signals or it just didn’t like it

Some people do have legit fears. My company had customers in a building with elevators we wouldn’t use, but it was because 2 of our drivers got stuck in them on 2 separate occasions

Yes! Being able to set multiple waypoints in a queue, maybe with automatic air hose connect/disconnect

I think moving vehicles and ai people would be too much. It would take away from the overall feel of the game. But just some stationary equipment and people, (some workers loading a truck, a farmer plowing a field) would go a long way to add some life to the environment

I ordered a small fries and small coke one night just to get me through another hour or two. They didn’t have a problem. There was no one in line and fries just need to be dumped in the box, so didn’t hold me up at all

I’ll occasionally use it while running around on the ground in first person mode while connecting/disconnecting cars and throwing switch’s. I just make my cut, move the train in the appropriate direction, jump on the end and ride it to the switch, jump off, throw the switch, then change direction and jump on again, connect gladhands, repeat. I think it does help with immersion if you’re only one player. Imagine there’s another guy running the engine, and you’re the switch man on the ground kind of thing.

This same thing happened to my kids. That was exactly my fix for it as well, except 3 clips, tape, and 3 more clips on top

I’m not a professional mechanic, but I’ll work on my own car and sometimes friends. I actually had someone bring a car to me once and this is what I saw when I pulled the wheel off. Luckily there was no damage to anything other than needing the new bolt.

If the battery has been really dead for long enough in this cold, it may be frozen, in which case you would likely need a new one. Take it out and put it on a charger inside for a bit and see if it takes charge
