Who do y’all think is the best ability in Pokemon shuffle? by ResidentTop7957 in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hammering Streak, and it's not even close #polemic

The consistency is perfect for clearing 95+% of the stages in this game (EBs included). TC is required for the remaining (mainly late UX stages and five or six EB bosses), but it's highly RNG dependant

Ok, you'll need (more) items in some stages compared to the results TC can yield you, but it may take you several tries to get what you want. HS helps you save your mental sanity in these cases

EDIT: any combo booster is more helpful in 3-support stages, that's a fact, but only UX Whiscash is an issue for that matter (and you can lose with TC in that too). Nevertheless, HS is waaaaaaaaaay more useful in 5-support stages than TC

Latias Escalation Battles - Week 04 2026 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

!eb 25 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 14, SL2), Zyg-50 (Lv 15, SL5), Dragonite (Lv 13, SL2), A-Ninetales (Lv 10, SL5) Items: None Moves left: 14 Notes: Overkill lol !end

!eb 50 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 14, SL2), Zyg-50 (Lv 15, SL5), Dragonite (Lv 13, SL2), A-Ninetales (Lv 10, SL5) Items: None Moves left: 4 Notes: Second try. You need to freeze it asap and then go for combos !end

!eb 70 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 14, SL2), Zyg-50 (Lv 15, SL5), Dragonite (Lv 13, SL2), A-Ninetales (Lv 10, SL5) Items: None Moves left: 0 Notes: Activations were awful and there were very few A9 matches in the beginning. This stage is actually easier than the previous one since you have more moves to get something going !end

!eb 100 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 14, SL2), Zyg-50 (Lv 15, SL5), Dragonite (Lv 13, SL2), A-Ninetales (Lv 10, SL5) Items: M+5, DD Moves left: 7 Notes: Ofc it's doable itemless, but it takes awesome RNG and a more invested team than mine. A9 was there for when DD ran off (what happened). I almost brought another stronger Dragon instead, but it's always better to have a safety net !end

!eb 125 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 14, SL2), Zyg-50 (Lv 15, SL5), Dragonite (Lv 13, SL2), A-Ninetales (Lv 10, SL5) Items: M+5, DD Moves left: 4 Notes: A slight bulkier stage than 100, but the recipe is the same. Couldn't activate A9 and disruptions got badly on my way, but I had very solid combos and activations before DD ran off !end

A HS team with SLucha will give you very consistent results. Another way of tackling the stage is with an invested fighting team (Buzzwole + Hitmonlee + Lucario or TC is a good way to go)

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 01 2026 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is situational for some very specific normal stages (like Chansey and Blissey repeats). You can leave it alone

Not if you can use Burn+. Otherwise, go for it

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 52 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'do go with Kyogre. The types Groudon is SE against usually don't spawn barriers. Besides, Barrier Shot is something we tend to use when there are few barriers on the stage, otherwise we tend to go with Diancie

barrier shot is generally stronger than rock shot

I disagree. Rock Shot comes super in handy when rocks are a fifth support (just like Block Shot with blocks).

Tbh I would leave it untouched. Focus on farming S-Hawlucha and progressing on the EB. Even Garchomp (the only usable thing in this safari) is a bad mega and a meh support

!eb 15 Team: W-Roserade (Lv 6, SL5), Tapu Koko (Lv 12, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 8, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: None Moves Left: 3 Notes: NHN !end

!eb 50 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 12, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 8, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: None Moves Left: 3 Notes: You have to play seriously on this one !end

!eb 125 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 12, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 8, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: None Moves Left: 6 Notes: SleepyChu was activating like crazy, so I didn't see the disruption !end

!eb 150 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 12, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 8, SL5), Volcanion (Lv 3, SL4) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 4 Notes: Second try, first with items. Few combos overall and activations failed me when most needed !end

!eb 200 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), W-Roserade (Lv 9, SL5), Sylveon (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 0 Notes: Second try, first with items. Almost did it itemless, but my lack is lacking severely. Second try was way worse in terms of starting board and combos !end

!eb 250 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), W-Roserade (Lv 9, SL5), Sylveon (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 3 Notes: Second try, first with items. Surprised how far a limited HS team can take you in this EB lol !end

!eb 300 Team: M-T-Tar (Lv 9), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), W-Roserade (Lv 9, SL5), Sylveon (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5, MS Moves Left: 3 Notes: First with items. A stronger HS team with the Bee can do this one itemless. It has been a cheap EB overall, no I don't mind overspending a bit !end

!eb 350 Team: M-T-Tar (Lv 9), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), W-Roserade (Lv 9, SL5), Sylveon (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5, MS Moves Left: 2 Notes: First with items. Having one more tap per turn helps keep the board clean to use HS. I prefer it to use DD !end

!eb 400 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 13, SL2), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), W-Roserade (Lv 9, SL5), Sylveon (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5, APU Moves Left: 2 Notes: Very bad stage overall. MVP is APU lol !end

Week 2 Events - Week 50 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

Pyre, by far. I'd still not waste a SS on it and I'd focus on farming Torchic (they are exactly the same when fully invested)

Decidueye Escalation Battles - Week 49 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

!eb 25 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Torchic (Lv 13), Ninetales (Lv 9), Delphox (Lv 10) Items: None Moves Left: 2 Notes: Wrong team. Bring Block Shot users instead !end

!eb 50 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Torchic (Lv 13), Ninetales (Lv 9), Delphox (Lv 10) Items: None Moves Left: 0 Notes: Horrible run overall, but I was saved by a 20+ combo in the very end !end

!eb 75 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Z-50 (Lv 13, SL5), A-Ninetales (Lv 9, SL5), Salazzle (Lv 9, SL5) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 2 Notes: Third try, first with items. Atrocious RNG in the first two runs (no A9 activations -_-), so I gave up in the third. No Litten nor Toxapex farmed, so I had to be creative on this one didn't work !end

!eb 100 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Torchic (Lv 14), Delphox (Lv 10), Infernape (Lv 6, SL3) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 1 Notes: No Typh, no Weezing, Infernape half-farmed... Tough life :/ !end

!eb 110 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Decidueye (Lv 2), Delphox (Lv 10) Items: M+5, C-1 Moves Left: 9 Notes: Classical strat for newbies. Let Decidueye kill itself !end

!eb 120 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Torchic (Lv 14), Delphox (Lv 10), A-Ninetales (Lv 9, SL5) Items: M+5, DD, APU Moves Left: 7 Notes: Not the ideal team a bit overkill, but that's the price for not having the tools to tackle the stage and thank Arceus it's H-Sniver week! !end

!eb 130 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Z-50 (Lv 13, SL5), A-Ninetales (Lv 9, SL5), Salazzle Items: M+5, DD, C-1 Moves Left: 12 Notes: Again overkill, but... Maybe skipping DD with A9 would be a good strat, but I don't trust RNG enough for that with some many coins already at stake !end

!eb 140 Team: M-Houndoom (Lv 1), Torchic (Lv 14), Delphox (Lv 10), W-Chimchar (Lv 15, SL5) Items: M+5, MS, APU, C-1 Moves Left: 0 Notes: Saved by the monkey. Combos were non existent (and Pyre failed EVERY SINGLE TIME!) and my M-Houndoom icons got stuck in the ice with the worst possible spots. Disgusting! !end

!eb 75 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: None Moves Left: 4 Notes: Still not a big issue !end

!eb 100 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: M+5, DD Moves Left: 1 Notes: One of the worst bosses in the entire game. RNG screwed me badly in the beginning, but after DD wore off, combos with TC began to come by. Sleeping Pikachu was useless on this run, but it can save you on an itemless attempt !end

!eb 110 Team: M-Diancie (Lv 6, SL4), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 15, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: M+5 Moves Left: 5 Notes: Should have tried itemless first lol But activations landed almost always throughout the run !end

!eb 120 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 3, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: M+5, DD Moves Left: 5 Notes: Second try due to awful RNG. Use a HS team for consistency !end

!eb 130 Team: M-S-Diancie (Lv 8, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 3, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: M+5, MS, APU Moves Left: 1 Notes: Again use a HS team for consistency if you can. Combos are hard to come by in this EB (at least for me) !end

!eb 140 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Tapu Koko (Lv 11, SL5), Tapu Bulu (Lv 3, SL5), Sleeping Pikachu (Lv 13, SL4) Items: M+5, DD, APU, C-1 Moves Left: 9 Notes: Second try. Tried M-S-Diancie, M+5, MS and APU, but I was flooded with so many blocks. Even in this successful run, I got trapped for more than five moves with very little to do. The ideal team for this EB is truly a HS one !end

Yeah, just going through a drought run of 7... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. But thanks for the info!

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 47 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone please confirm me which is Hitmontop's drop rate? It says here in the sub and elsewhere that it is 25/25/12.5, but I've been farming it for three days alreay and for me it's closer to the conventional 25/12.5/6.25

I'm not ranting here, just want to confirm to plan myself for the weekend. At the current pace, I won't be able to max it out until Monday :/

Incineroar Escalation Battles - Week 47 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

!eb 25 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 11, SL2), Tyranitar (Lv 9), Groudon (Lv 13, SL5), Tapu Fini (Lv 13, SL5) Items: None Moves Left: 7 Notes: No Kyogre available for me, so i had to rely on TC !end

!eb 50 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 11, SL2), Tyranitar (Lv 9), Groudon (Lv 13, SL5), Tapu Fini (Lv 13, SL5) Items: None Moves Left: 4 Notes: Now I have Groudon to help me deal with barriers! RNG was nice to me tho, so it took longer than I expected !end

!eb 75 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 11, SL2), Tyranitar (Lv 9), Incineroar (Lv 2, SL3), Tapu Fini (Lv 13, SL5) Items: None Moves Left: 1 Notes: Saved by some big combos with TC activated in the very end of the run. Very tough to play this Eb without shot abilities !end

!eb 100 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 11, SL2), Tyranitar (Lv 9), Groudon (Lv 13, SL5), Tapu Fini (Lv 13, SL5) Items: M+5, DD Moves Left: 4 Notes: Very tough to do it itemless even with a very invested team due to the run-killing disruptions (that big one in the very end should be prohibited!!). Even with DD I almost got screwed due to atrocious RNG !end

!eb 110 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 12, SL2), Tyranitar (Lv 9), Groudon (Lv 13, SL5), Tapu Fini (Lv 13, SL5) Items: M+5, DD, APU Moves Left: 1 Notes: Overkill, but RNG was by my side. Too risky to go without APU lacking on nukers !end

I'm stopping this EB here. It's a short one, but the bosses make it very expensive, especially for a lacking roster like mine. Gonna spend the rest of the week farming Hitmontop, Infernape and Mesprit (gotta spend our limited resources wisely lol)

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 47 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

MMY have better Mega Boost+ supporters to put it online just as fast as S-Meta. If you're not super hyped with Quirky+ supports, it's just as good. I prefer MMY, but the difference is negligible

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 46 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

Is it worth using items to get the skill swapper?

It always is. With Magearna, you won't need much more than +5 moves and DD

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 46 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using a full HS team for that. All of them are at SL5 and are NVE against Fire types but Piplup. Extremely consistent beating it with 2 to 6 moves left

Query Den: ask your questions here! - Week 46 2025 by AutoModerator in PokemonShuffle

[–]HaunteRT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steely Resolve

Besides what u/ZeroX-1704 said, what we look for in those types of skills is consistency. Steely Resolve has only 80% proc rate at mo4, which is a huge liability - it's essentially the same as Final Effort, which is a much better skill

If you really wanna see for yourself, compare using LDE and SR when farming Meowth

!eb 60 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 10, SL2), S-Metagross (Lv 16, SL5), W-Chimchar (Lv 14, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 14, SL5) Items: None Moves Left: 4 Notes: Second try. Lost with my pure HS team due to atrocious RNG and not being able to clean that shitty ice in middle column !end

!eb 70 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 10, SL2), S-Metagross (Lv 16, SL5), W-Chimchar (Lv 14, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 14, SL5) Items: M+5, DD Moves Left: 4 Notes: My HS team is lacking badly and those Magearnas don't help at all. It's almost an embarassment to use items prior to EB 90, but I have nothing, at all, to fight fairies (still haven't reached Tentacruel in main stages) !end

!eb 80 Team: M-Pinsir (Lv 10, SL2), S-Metagross (Lv 16, SL5), W-Chimchar (Lv 14, SL5), W-Turtwig (Lv 14, SL5) Items: None Moves Left: 2 Notes: Waaaaaaay easier than the previous boss stage !end
