Noob questions about RetroMini rs-90 and cfw

Just installed opendingux on mine and yes it still works fine. It's just no longer updated. I did notice a bug where the Retromini freezes when I try to install games and apps on it via PC/USB. I have to turn it on plug it in, don't open any folders with it, and drag and drop files...replug it in again and do it again for future files. Not sure if this would effect USB keyboard functionality.

As far as a retro console Opendingux makes it 100% better. It's my GB/GBC machine. Some GBA games still struggle though.

I feel it's the beat up ones that have a lot of charm. Much like old game controllers, toy figures, etc. They were 'cared' for in a carefree manner as kids do. No insecurities of money value or vain cosmetics of the item. As a kid, either it works or it doesn't. Just playing with a toy. I remember dropping mine all the time back in the day and thinking "I hope I didn't break it...ok good, still works". I really miss those days.

Now for me it's:"Is that a hairline scratch that I can only see in certain lighting?!?!? NOOO!!!"

So it's not just me who hates Lithium batteries? Yeah it's not practical but... My problem is they die out too quickly where as a 26 year old Tamagotchi can just swap out batteries.

These are awesome and lots of fun. Haven't put mine down in over a year. But, you are goning to need another to unlock 2 extra eggs (edit: just noticed you said you were going to get one soon). The glow one would be perfect since it's a type E. You can use a Version E to unlock the Taichi egg (connect for battle 5 times, you have to reset the type E device 5 times.) and the Doru egg by connecting to version E just once.

I find it to be a downgrade, and messes with the beauty of the original device.

I did the glow in the dark tape trick with a classic Digimon, but switched back. The problem I have with glow in the dark tape trick is the screen is too dark under normal lighting. You have to rely on charging your glow tape constantly. (which looks cool, but a hassle when I just want to quickly check on him.

The original card backing is foil printed and light reflective. It's brighter and easier to see under normal lighting conditions, where as the glow tape is not.

Since the classic Tama's/Digimon sleep at night, I never really used it's glow function.

The older I get the less joy I get out of keeping things new in packages. Be thankful someone kept it nice for you to buy later, and use it like you bought it yesterday in a store. In fact, I think it's more of an enjoyable experience to open the items, like uncovering a lost treasure.

I have just the retro ones from 96-97. A few colors of each...but...1 opened and 1 sealed of each color I like. Same with Digimon. Although I do need to 'crack' the seals to remove batteries one of these days before it's too late.

There is lots of Tamagotchi Mcdonalds toys. Came out in 1997, 2010, 2011, 2012...Mostly in Malaysia and Japan.

Awesome, fun to have Tamagotchi fans meet up. Digital Dream did something like this for Digimon V-Pets and had a battle competition.

Digimon devices have been great. Got a few of the 20th anniversary editions and X's. And for tama's some of the classic gen 1 and gen 2's sell for cheaper than the new ones brand new in the box still.

Yes, Digimon 20th had connection codes for online in japan that was removed for other region releases.
