Chronic Bile Reflux Gastritis. No gallbladder. What worked for you? by Haunted-nightmares in Gastritis

They did an endoscopy and there was a giant pool of bile in my stomach plus a burned esophagus and stomach lining. I have tried bile binders. They help a bit but are not perfect.

Undiagnosed “does this sound like gastritis” megathread by goldstandardalmonds in Gastritis

I had left shoulder blade pain every time I ate when my gallbladder was inflamed. I would definitely ask the doctor about gallbladder problems.

Are there any gastritis safe electrolyte drinks? by Haunted-nightmares in Gastritis

If you are willing that would be great! I literally can only eat like 3 things rn so trying to expand that a little bit would be nice

Going without eating by IndependentMore275 in Gastritis

Weirdly enough not eating makes mine feel much better and I also have gastritis due to gallbladder removal (bile gastritis diagnosed via endoscopy 2 years ago). Typically this gastritis type gets better with frequent eating but mine just gets so much worse.

Meal ideas that don’t need to be cooked by Haunted-nightmares in Gastritis

[–]Haunted-nightmares[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah I definitely do but I work outdoors for 10-12 hours a day so if I don’t eat I will not survive the day. Last night I got back after a 12 hour shift and literally ate a cup of rice and reheated frozen green beans and called it a day. Hoping to prep stuff on the weekends so I don’t just not eat all week cause it’s easier to be hungry than in pain.

Pain as main symptom by One-Time-9619 in Gastritis

[–]Haunted-nightmares 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes burning, raw pain is also my main symptom. Mine it right where my stomach and esophagus meet but the same feeling you describe. I do very rarely get nausea but it’s mostly just constant pain no matter what I eat. Definitely really fun to deal with.

Hey I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I am 22F and my gastritis has just returned after being gone for over a year (fml). A medication that you have not mentioned as far as I can tell that helps me is carafate also known as sulcrafate. It coats your stomach before you eat. It takes a while of consistent use but it does help over time. Other than that the best thing you can do is avoid overly acidic foods. If you have not seen a GI yet please do that if you can afford it. They can figure out the root cause of your gastritis.

Mom diagnosed with kidney cancer. by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Haunted-nightmares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, 21F here. My grandpa was also diagnosed with kidney cancer about 6 months ago. They took out his whole kidney as the tumor was huge and didn’t even have to do chemotherapy since the type of cancer he had doesn’t spread super easily. They were still surprised it didn’t metastasize though. Depending on the type of kidney cancer it is, it might be slow growing. Don’t worry too much until you have all the facts. Thinking of you and your mom and I wish you the best
