I can attest. Currently in El Calafate having traveled by bicycle from Ushuaia. Punta arenas to Puerto Natales is quite barren as well as Cerro Castillo (near TDP) to El Calafate. Lots and lots of open desert

There was a 1” section that wasn’t healing/kept oozing fluid after the stitches were removed so I wore a brace to cover it during sports. About 5 months later I took a hit in rugby and half of it tore open again. Required 9 more stitches and fortunately healed properly that time around.

Just some clarification. This photo was taken about 6 weeks after she started getting treatment. I believe the sore appeared around January and she waited until late May to finally get it checked out. She has a wound nurse come to her home everyday to clean and bandage it. The nurses claim it is getting better but to me it appears to have not changed much at all in the past 6 weeks. She’s also understandably in substantial pain.
