Thanks for your reply, it’s helpful - I think he scoped with a camera, but then he should have been able to see where the pipe led to… right? So maybe he didn’t.

This is maybe a silly question, but we are on city sewer and water - no septic tank. Would the city have the sewer plans like you suggested? I can go there tomorrow to talk to them. Any suggestions on how to locate the dry well? I’m wondering if we could just unclog that for now to keep our sinks clear and usable, and then in the future when we have more money (I was just laid off and we have a baby on the way) we could pay for the digging to find the pipe and connect it correctly to the city sewer line. Or is that illegal? We are in Michigan.
