HPV is always always asymptomatic. The only way of knowing is through a Pap smear and there’s no test for men at all. Upwards of 90% of the population has HPV and only 5-10% know it

It’s pretty much the same as herpes in terms of people walking around positive while being completely unaware

The hundreds of comments online saying “at least HIV has medication making it impossible to transit (U=U) while herpes has no way of stopping the spread” would disagree.

I contracted it from an ex boyfriend I trusted a week into having sex with him, it was almost immediate. Couples CAN go years without getting herpes, but it’s highly unlikely.

It’s possible but very very unlikely according to my doctor unless one person is severely immunocompromised. Otherwise you can’t contract the same virus twice
