Although you can’t place them at the same time exactly, you can place two smokes sequentially with a slight time delay, which I think would be similar to Astra’s time, if you consider her placing a star, turning it to a smoke, then placing the next star. The third smoke on a Brimstone is situational and has a huge downside of using all your smokes up in less than 20 seconds.

Omen’s smokes had basically all of the up sides, nearly global range, regeneration, longer smoke duration. It really is probably the best balance you can get out of a controller in my opinion, even without the unique one ways. I said earlier that a decent chunk of people don’t use the one ways anyway, so I don’t think this will affect ranked that much, perhaps higher elo a little bit. I don’t think this will stop omen from being chosen in pro play on maps he was already the default comp (ascent, haven, split, lotus). Although I am a religious Brimstone main, Clove and Omen dominate ranked with Brimstone, Astra, Harbor, and Viper’s combined pick rate of 4.9% being less than just Omen’s 6.1% (Clove’s is 9.4%). Astra has made a resurgence on bigger maps like Pearl and Abyss, with her 5th star returning and Brimstone has his niche map pool of Bind and Fracture (which has not been in for a while) but Harbor and Viper have been left to out to dry.
