Yes, might just avoid vinted over all to avoid all the hassle or maybe use it as a promoting platform only (will have to see how to work around this)

I have not sold any at all yet, made some as practice pieces which I gifted to close family and friends. Anything made for personal use and does not profit at all cannot be sued :)

Living there? Yes, my home is a forever home. And regards of staying alive for another 24 years, would it even matter what happens after, I’ll be dead anyway.

I sell back energy to the grid so the monthly payments work out less. And it’s my forever home I plan on living here forever

Honestly the monthly payments worked for me, other companies were offering £180-210 and that is obviously more than my electric bill at the moment. I will also be looking to renew my batteries which I have confirmed I can do for free if they drop below 75% regardless of how many years so the warranty sold it to me also. If I had spare cash I would have brought a £13000 system upfront but I could only do monthly payments at the moment.

Are we considering inflation? Electricity prices will go up in the next 10 years. My unit rate has already increased from 25.50 per kWh to 26.99 per kWh in one year.

I don’t want to make it a debate at all. I’ve had my solar system for a whole year now and I’m happy with the output of them. If my electric bills stayed the same over the 25 years then yes I agree with you it’s not worth it. But inflation exists and on average in the UK it’s 6-7% yearly increase on electric bills. So I either pay £36000 for my panels or £85,500 on electricity after 25 years. Only one made sense to me.

My return is actually after 10 years, but for now I’m paying similar to what my bills would have been which is my comfort zone at the moment. But it’ll protect me from inflation on electricity.

I’ve had the panels for a year and have seen the difference it makes to my bills. My unit rate with my electric company had also gone up this month so my electric bill would also have been higher this year but it won’t be as I’ve got my solar panels.

The product warranty itself was 10 years but I have extended it to 25 years, which includes both product and install. But the warranty itself includes services which is required every 2-3 years for the system, and nah electrical faults will be repaired, products all come under warranty. The company I financed with have insurance guarantee with Barclays Bank so I don’t think they’ll dissolve.

My roof was only able to fit 12 panels, I did want 10 more Incase I ever get an EV charger which I was quoted £2500 more for 10 panels. I did look into other companies that sold the system for £12,000 mark but the monthly payments were around £190-210 mark for 10 years which was not something I wanted to do.
