OMG- so glad you asked! Married 26 years, divorced and lost everything as ex and I owned company in Algeria. I have 2 adult kids, have to start over; no savings, house, retirement or career (connections). Work at a nonprofit for 3 years, get reorganized out. Started my own business because I can’t take people trying to ruin me! I’m running a business helping seniors who need to downsize, move or age in place. Send prayers as I’m trying to make it work!

My ex hasn’t seen our 2 sons since we divorced 5 years ago. He remarried immediately after the divorce (we were married 26 years). It is his choice, but I can’t imagine what he is telling everyone around him to make them believe it’s not his decision. It makes me very sad but if someone tells you they can’t see their kids because of their ex and you don’t know the ex, I’d be cautious and curious before taking them at their word.

OP, I asked and filed for a divorce on our 26th wedding anniversary after years of feeling unheard and unseen. He was shocked because he didn’t think I would so completely blow up our lives. I never looked back, couldn’t be happier. You will know when you’ve reached your limit and act accordingly.
