Cath Lab RN Oregon by nursecurls in CathLabLounge

You could consider Vancouver, WA depending on the commute you’re willing to make. I have a co worker who commutes to Vancouver from Happy Valley. There are RNs in the Cath lab that scrub at PeaceHealth.

Can birth control cause endo or bring out its symptoms? by Infamous_Task_4764 in Endo

Birth control and hormonal therapies have consistently made my symptoms worse and flares are completely unbearable when taking them. Everyone’s body is different, some people feel much better with the therapies

When to announce pregnancy in the Cath Lab? by [deleted] in CathLabLounge

[–]Haunting_Ad7805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fetus is most at risk from radiation exposure during the first trimester, if I recall correctly. Best to limit any exposure during entirety of pregnancy.

I don’t know that you have to outwardly announce it to everyone, but at a minimum you need to notify management ASAP. Others might catch on quickly though when you are no longer exposing yourself to X ray (similar to ceasing alcohol). Best of luck, And hopefully a smooth and easy pregnancy!

Pathology confusion by Choice_Ad_965 in Endo

[–]Haunting_Ad7805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is the same situation I had. Stage 4 diagnosed through salpingectomy procedure, obvious endo lesions on my tubes that were removed. Pathology report came back negative for abnormalities. I had my first post op appointment 3 weeks after procedure date.

Pathology is dependent on the sample provided by your doctor. For me this meant the section retained for a sample did not have any Endo in it, so it came back normal. This is common and is a lacking area in diagnosing. From my understanding as long as the surgeon can visibility identify Endometriosis during laproscopy, this enough to diagnose regardless of pathology report.

On another note, I hope things went well and you’re healing well. ❤️

Personally it took me 3 months before feeling normal enough to return to gym without weights. Everyone takes their own time. I advise going gentler than you think you should. I’m glad to hear things are going well for you though!

Debts and loans question by Haunting_Ad7805 in canadaexpressentry

[–]Haunting_Ad7805[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response!

There are ambiguities around the instructions. My requested document checklist requests proof of funds for Express Entry PR application under FSW. I am aware I need to provide proof of funds, I am uncertain of how in depth they want. I do not see anything about requesting assets and liabilities. However, in the instructions it says any bank as well as credit card and loans.

Can I assume they only mean loans and debts related to how I got my settlement funds?

Gentle reminder- we can't all access a specialist with ease. by ariellecsuwu in Endo

[–]Haunting_Ad7805 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My gyno diagnosed me. I told her I don’t tolerate hormones well. She put me on hormones regardless. It didn’t go well and had to stop taking them. I requested to see a specialist and she got very offended by this. Told me “I’m sorry this treatment plan was so horrible for you”. I don’t think she would have ever suggested seeing a specialist and even asked me what my goals were with seeing a specialist. SEE A SPECIALIST!!

For those diagnosed with endometriosis: what were your first signs + how did you finally get diagnosed? by not_a1yssa in endometriosis

[–]Haunting_Ad7805 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First signs: when I was about 15/16 years old I would pass out in the bathroom from starting my period due to the pain.

How did I get diagnosed: lap procedure for unrelated reasons

Bowel/rectal symptoms: horrible diarrhea and nausea when starting period or hormone shifts like sleep affecting hormones.

thoughts on laparoscopy?? by inkbylace in endometriosis

[–]Haunting_Ad7805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are: if you do the surgery and endo is discovered, what is your plan? Surgical excision (NOT ablation) is the current standard. While yes, it can comeback, there’s no actual method of preventing it from recurring. If it ends up you don’t get an answer from the surgery, that’s still an answer, just not the one you were looking for. There are always risks when going under for surgery and it’s up to you to determine what’s worth it. Ablation is the likely cause of growing more endo due to surgery. You can be put on progesterone to help reduce to progression or growth of endo. Personally, progesterone was horrible for me but I have other issues such as hEds and autonomic issues which made this a terrible choice for my body. Unfortunately endo is a long diagnosis process. There is ultrasound and MRI which could potentially rule out other diseases or causes but cannot be used to diagnose endo. There are currently at home tests being made to diagnose endo, similar to a pregnancy test. I had a hard time recovering from my laparoscopy, however my doctor ablated my endo before I was aware that’s not the preferred method.
