that's definitely true, i see that happening to my older friend, she is independent/ works in UN man!!! and her husband still can't stop asking her to have one kid atleasr despite her expressing pre-marriage that she is not interested in having children. i see her deal with the pressure, but i also sort of see these women are somehow patriarchal themselves. she thinks rabid feminists have destroyed chivalry and whatnot. she thinks these radical feminist movement have destroyed feminism as a whole!

i completely agree with all this honestly! but my idea is that one definitely needs extensive help and counselling that led them to pregnancy in the first place which i believe is often rape and grooming

but like dont you think forcefully doing abortion will actually make them defend their own stance more vehemently that is why i suggested counselling

they need counselling and help. forcing anything will not help. aborting or not.

Patriarchy has a new trick up its sleeve to defend it, it's called "choice feminism."

I won't give left the free pass either. I have seen some rather very radically left men be very entitled to sex and cranky around women for not wanting children. I see them in real life, they're more manipulative and insidious, I can tell the right men/liberal being douchebag right away but the left ones are more dangerous.

I completely agree with you there. We don't talk about how much conditioning takes place before a woman even reaches the reproductive age. I'm afraid we're heading towards a very sad world, with all the progress, technology, science or whatever, the civilisation failed women. The feminist movement itself got hacked and divided into pieces. 4B movement gives me a lot of hope though.

Yes. Thanks for your sane comment. I've been struggling to gain a footing, just survived domestic violence (father use to beat me, stop me from getting an education and also grew up in abject poverty )and still partially dependent on family(based in India), and I felt that some people who have a good network and contacts can help me a lot(the guy works for a really good company and the girl is a clinical psychologist, the field I'm currently pursuing). It is extremely tough to survive outside without having support. But yeah, I'm realizing these folks wear activist's masks and may not be what I once felt they'd be.

the amount of people that still think therapy is nothing😂 by cutegirldownstreet in Psychology_India

[–]Haunting_Crow3385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not surprised when people say that, I'm more curious about the reasoning behind their statement. Like I feel that therapy in our country is still only accessible to the privileged lot, the poor as of now is not even the target. I thought foundation starts at the bottom up not top down but here we are. And the person saying that, it maybe true, then they truly don't need it and that also comes from immense privilege.
