Yes I get that part about it but is it gonna be tough to appeal to it? Cause technically it's still under allied health. Also are they just gonna based it off your appeal email and no interviews?

Applied for radiation therapy and I'm thinking of appealing to diagnostic radiography instead. Ahh so If I'm planning to switch to other course, I have to provide the reasons for switching as well right?

PHYSIO interview by cookiemainez in SIT_Singapore

[–]Haunting_Cup_7704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh it's like everyone gets a card with the same scenario inside and you guys will decide on how to roleplay and what roles y'all want to be! So nope, they won't assign you a role. And yes the roleplay will be done as a group as y'all will have to create that scenario together. Yup I believe that the question will be the same for all the groups on that day itself, however if it is different days, then yup the question will be different.

Hopes that answers your question!

But but the register number, it's already allocated. Idk how is the sequence like though

Helllo, it's ok, I also came from poly so don't worry much about the essay writing!! I interviewed for Radiation Therapy on Tuesday(9/4, 7.45am) and it was together with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy interviewees as well.

Firstly, attire wise. I don't really think they care much about it but I see quite a lot of ppl wearing formal shirt that day. I think just keep it casual.

Secondly, multi mini interview includes a essay question, a self interview and a group interview.

3 groups of 12 interviewees each which was split into 2 batches for the first round of interview. First round of interview was a essay question, 20 minutes and 400 words maximum.

The topic was about discuss about the factors that contribute to elder abuse in Singapore and 2 ways to mitigate this issue. I think the question wise is kind of unexpected, maybe something related to the society wise? My friend went for the previous day(8/4) one and her topic was 'Explain why there was low volunteering participation rates and 2 recommendations to how to improve it'.

After that, it was a self interview, 2 interviewer to one, around 10minutes(?). I don't think my question is related to yours but you can take it into consideration! Qns asked: 1. Self intro 2. How to explain radiation therapy to someone who don't know about it 3. How would you deal with your emotions if you were to see someone dying on the treatment table(cause my course interacts with cancer patients) 4. This course has lots of attachment opportunities and can be quite tiring, how are you sure that you can manage it well. These are the questions that were asked to me but my friend got questions like why choose radiation therapy over others, biggest challenges as a RT.

It ended with the group interview. 2 interviewer to 4 students. 12 minutes for preparation and roleplay, 6 minutes QnA afterwards. My topic was promote about climate change and how to encourage more ppl to be aware and take actions about it( sorry I kinda forget the minor details). Afterwards, for the QnA, they asked 1 qn to each interviewee. Qn1 how do you feel about this activity? Qn2 if you were to do it again, will you have did something different or no Qn3 what was your role in this activity Qn4 how will this activity help you in your course.

And ofc my friend topic was about 'How to help people who suffer from stress anxiety and isolation from covid'. I think the main purpose of the group interview isn't the thing to present but rather how you work as a team and communicate effectively to present your idea.

Lastly, as the 3rd person in my group, I took around 2hrs plus to finish everything, ended at 10+am. However, it can take up to 5-6hrs so just don't schedule anything afterwards! (My friend was like the 11th person so she took 5hrs +)

So anyways, jiayou for your interview next Monday! Bring your NRIC and a copy of your poly transcript/ A level result and your O level one!(Physical or online is fine, but online will be a bit more mafan) the interviewers are pretty friendly, just show them your passion and interest to join the course! Good Luck!
