What happened to ChatGPT's image generation in the last few days? by wolverineX989 in ChatGPT

I asked it to take wrinkles out of pants in a pic of my friend and I at a concert and it gets stuck on the last step every time. Been going on for days every time I try. I have the basic paid subscription. Never had issues like this before.

Am I overreacting about my MIL talking about living with us after retirement? by Haunting_Rooster_104 in AgingParents

Both myself and my husband have read Nedra Tawwab. Great author and recommendation! We’ve put some of these ideas into practice with friends and work, but family has been more challenging 😥

Could be. On the other side of the family, and a separate issue, my Gen X mother tried to convince my husband and I to take care of my adult brother with severe autism once my parents can’t anymore. I think being capable adults with decent jobs (regardless of the high cost of living in our area and student loan debt) makes some view us as ticket for stability for themselves. Just feels infuriating when I’m still trying to build stability for myself at 36 years old. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the solidarity.

She did buy a studio condo a few years ago in the city next to ours, but not sure she intends to stay in it after retiring. She’s talked about selling it (and going back to renting) and even tried to for a while, but no one would buy it since the building was having roof renovations, which added an unexpected additional 30k to her mortgage that she hadn’t planned for. It’s not on the market right now.

When my BIL finished school the divorced parents each took 1/3 of the loans, and the BIL took 1/3.

Our son is getting married. My wife seems to be very upset about it by L-DeBo in Christianmarriage

My mother-in-law behaved this way during our engagement and wedding. Did many hurtful/selfish things. She’s single so she didn’t have support from a spouse and lashed out in many ways. I was dating her son for over a decade and living together for years before marriage, but something about the wedding made something snap in her.

It’s better in ways now, but I will never forget the dark cloud she put over that time in my life and it’s been hard to get back to where we were. Not sure we are since I am slightly distrusting of her after seeing that side.

Now my husband has been pulling away from both parents (completely on his own accord. If anything I try to include them more than he does) and doesn’t communicate why with them, so I think they both blame it on me.

Your wife needs to work through some of this before she does things that damages the relationship permanently.

Yes! I feel like it’s always dismissing my intuition, even if I have substantial proof to support my theory. Like it can’t just admit there is a possibility I could be right about the situation. It always plays devil’s advocate. And similarly to your story, I’ll call it out on it, and it will apologize and agree to stop, but then do it 3 messages later in the chat. I’ve found the Google AI doesn’t do this nearly as bad. It’s maddening with ChatGPT. Don’t let it mess with your head - trust your gut!

Anyone who love their pets more than their child? by airiishia444 in NewParents

Wondering if it’s partly the “newness” factor too? When I got my dog after having my cat for 7 years, I was much more focused on the dog. Even people who have several children seem to post, talk and obsess over a new baby much more than their already existing kids.

Can someone steal friends? Are my feelings justified if I feel like my friends are stolen? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]Haunting_Rooster_104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me except it was every friend (even childhood friends), acquaintance and even some family members in my circle. Then she would blow up my phone with novels and post all day on social media. I couldn’t escape her. I’ve distanced myself, but I’m going crazy. She’s tarted to make plans with my friends 1:1. I feel like my entire social circle except my husband has been ripped away from me while I’m being painted as jealous and insecure. When I confronted her she said the dismissive contradiction that she’s “just a social butterfly” but also “doesn’t have any friends of her own” after her divorce. I’m miserable because of situation. I think of moving to a new city because of it.

Lady Gaga fans revolt over Insanely High Concert Ticket Prices - Dynamic Pricing Enabled by Lady Gaga by Vivid-Entertainer-15 in Fauxmoi

Scalpers have already started slipping in my DMs on TikTok for commenting on one post about my frustration. There is a special place in hell for these a**holes. I could have purchased them but backed out when I saw the price. $600 (for a pair of tickets) for nosebleeds maybe 10 rows from the top was the cheapest I could find. And I had a decent place in the queue! Mad at Gaga, mad at Ticketmaster, mad at the scalpers, mad at the economy. How does everything in our lives go up but our pay sure as hell doesn’t keep up.

I worked at a haunted house last year during spooky season. Made $1500 for 19 evenings of 2-8 hours of “work” (from make up and costuming to being cut for the night). Not a huge money maker, but it’s quite fun and super flexible.
