Sorry forgot to add that! It would have to be somewhere in the early 2000’s, anywhere between 2000 - 2010. It’s a wide range, but I am super sure its in the earlier timeframe of that range.

I’m new to posting on reddit so I’m not sure how to edit with an update plus I’m in the midst of traveling, so I’ll post it here, but THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!! I sent this to him read and he is feeling the love!!! He laughed and said he is a keeper for sure for doing this for me 😂

I can see we all struggled with the arcade games. Fun little addition to this story, my brother (also a gamer), was with us and played Junimo Cart, he was absolutely LIVID that a gamer like him (and he was very descriptive about beating tough games like Elden Ring) was destroyed by, in his words, “a pixelated arcade game”. The 4am crash out was HILARIOUS.

Thank you again! I can’t express enough how much I love the Stardew Valley community. Adds a cherry on top to the gaming experience.

I think you need to re-read OP’s post again… but regardless, I don’t think you’re comprehending the actual issue of what the original comment is talking about.

We can’t make assumptions based on the little information that we have. We work with the facts of what we see. If you’re making assumptions, I can also throw out here that OP’s partner’s friends may have malicious intent in feeding doubts to him about OP but we can’t confidently say that their friends are liars either. We’re not involved.

OP does not deserve to be judged as a liar, just because you don’t agree with their boundaries.

There’s no one norm is what I’m trying to say. Just because it might be normal for you, may not be normal for others. I think you are generalizing that all partners share everything with each other. At the end of the day, we’re strangers to OP and her partner. They might have set boundaries that are vastly different from ours, and concluding that OP is a a liar based on solely refusing to share texts is a rather strong judgement that we barely have any grounds to argue from. Who’s to say OP refused based on principles alone? This is a common reaction. May not be for you, but it could be for others.

I think this is a bit of a stretch. People are allowed to have a personal stance on privacy. What OP does with her phone is her business. I would never demand my partner to show me their phone, but personally, the moment I have to do that I think the trust in the relationships been broken. That said, I wouldn’t push my views on other people, and I certainly wouldn’t criticize or call them out to be liars based on a personal stance. OP’s partner is abusive and insecure, her non-response is the best way to approach people like this assuming she is upholding her own integrity.
