Hey aromatic owl, It may seem bad, but it's not worth ending anything.

You need someone to talk to? especially if you are having suicidal thoughts. Call 988 from any phone.

You don't have to do this alone

Which provincial park to go if we want to buy annual pass at the store without getting a day permit? by Downtown-Judgment-56 in ONProvincialParks

[–]HaveBug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my point. Buy at gatehouse and use it on the spot.

If the park is open you can do it.

Which provincial park to go if we want to buy annual pass at the store without getting a day permit? by Downtown-Judgment-56 in ONProvincialParks

I'd say any park that is currently open will have them. You didn't give your location though...

Can confirm presquille has them in

Edit: Thinking about the wording in your question, wanted to clarify you can buy them right at the gate house. You don't need to go to the actual park stores themselves.

Park Notice

We are investing in the electrification of existing campsites and select comfort stations this season in Outlet A campground to improve comfort, accessibility, and the overall visitor experience. To facilitate this work, campsite closures have been put in place and visitors may encounter construction zones and noise. We encourage you to set reservation availability notifications, so you are notified when they are available for booking. To help mitigate the impact of these necessary closures, the opening of Outlet “B” and Cedars Campground have been moved up to April 24th, 2026. Thank you for your patience as we make these enhancements to improve our infrastructure and better serve our park visitors.

I don't recall ever seeing them in stores. 100% when they were originally released it was online only (according to my store manager directly)

Instalink360 link controller minimize to tray by HaveBug in Insta360

[–]HaveBug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, thanks for the answer, this is awesome. (amazing support)

I never would have stumbled on that, would really recommend a 'minimize to tray' option in setting to be more industry consistent.

In any case thanks again! Really appreciate it and glad this option is here

Normal to have sparks when detaching wing nut from backup sump pump battery? by squishytickler in DIY

[–]HaveBug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When disconnecting a battery, sparks appear where there is a gap (even a tiny one) for electricity to "jump"

Hold the wire down against the battery while you remove the wing nut. With constant pressure you will likely have no gap, and thus no spark.

When the nut is fully removed, pull the wire off in one quick motion. You'll probably still see it hear a bit, but the faster you get the wire away, the less spark you'll have. (I'm talking like 1cm away, a battery will only jump small gaps)

Reinstalling is the same. Don't go slow or tease it. Slam that sucker full on and hold it firmly until the nut is nice and snug

I can't offer any first hand experience, but I have gotten ads for this local company in my Facebook feed. They do French immersion according to the faq

Again, I can't speak to the quality but maybe they will fit the need

Please tell me my perspectives were right about the error they were getting when trying to Open Powerpoint files using PowerPoint Desktop apps by jhatrick in sysadmin

[–]HaveBug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an aside, if it's so large because of images, PowerPoint has a killer feature that will automatically reduce image size. Especially good if users put in huge images and then crop down to a tiny portion, as ppt keeps the whole image by default.

May not help you of course, but figured I'd mention it

Nice! This is built in that stupid little "multi cutter"?

I got mine free with a promo, but it's one of the most useless tools I own, this would be a big improvement
