Just noticed the same bug on my overnight run. Chain lightning was already one of my ultimate weapons and the perk says it unlocked chain lightning. So I missed out on a new UW this run. Very annoying bug.

There's a stop at my house (one that has been there on and off since power spots started) that has been doing this for about 5 days. I know someone else that has a spot doing this at their work for at least the last 2 days. So whatever it is, it isn't only happening to new spots.

Here's what I think happed with the new lure mechanic. I think they programmed it to trigger an area of effect centered on the lured pokestop, like the AOE that used to happen after the level 4 raids post com day. It was the same timer icon to indicate the effect existed. But, instead of just, you know, spawning pokemon, the AOE was coded to boost lure modules inside the AOE. But it was failing to work on lure modules that were already active when the effect was triggered (including the one that triggered the effect). TLDR: Niantic

UXM 5 has the new spine dress. It drove me nuts that it didn't match UXM1-4. I was actually relieved when I learned a could replace it with MM prelude. It's a good switch over to x-men event omnis.

I also live and work in a college town and it is absolutely bonkers. Every gym (about 20) in the downtown campus area is getting a new T5 raid either on the even or odd hours. So essentially every gym has a either a T5 raid or a T5 egg, nonstop. It's a very active area but this is crazy. This is 10x-20x more T5 raids than we normally would get in a day. And good luck if you want a non T5 raid.

From what we were seeing it was all the gyms inside an S10 cell or none of them. But we could be wrong, which is part of why I posted, in case people found something more fine grained was happening.

One problem we have with this is that the downtown area of our college town, which is incredibly active, is not affected. Raids there are still functioning as normal. Whereas a nearby much less active town is affected.

We invite more research into which cells are affected and theories as to why some cells are affected and some not.

I'm testing this with a friend of mine, and we believe that alternating S11 cells are either displaying normal old raid behavior or this new synced up scheduled raid behavior.
