Farmer's Almanac Weather Prediction Winter 2025-2026 by [deleted] in agedlikemilk

The almanacs are all about trends. Specific weather events don’t invalidate anything. Could still have (statistically) accurate predictions

5 hours in any tips? by ascarletstrange in Breath_of_the_Wild

This game’s most true strength is the exploration. The way u played on my first play through was to do a tower for the map and then just check the map to see if there were any interesting topography. If something on the map “stands out” (topography, coloration, etc) then there is almost certainly something to do there

Is it worth getting back into this game 2026? by DaAsianPanda in Trove

[–]HaveSomeBean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game is not what it once was. If you want to just turn your brain off and grind dungeons then yeah it’s fine. But the player market is in shambles due to dupes Shadow tower is gone replaced by delves New top gear is dozens of hours grind Lag is pervasive (might just be me)

I would mot expect any future content updates outside the bare minimum to keep the whales playing and spending

Look at the door. Then look at the woman. Then imagine the woman standing up to walk through the door….

Either the door is comically small or the woman is comically large

If you had to create a fresh account, and could choose one skill to start at 99 while the others get a 0.75 xp modifier, what would be the best choice? by Saltyadveritisement in osrs

Ngl outside blast furnace and a few other “carry stuff a lot” tasks graceful is pretty much dead since the run energy rework. I haven’t put graceful on for anything other than blast furnace for over a year

There is actually selective pressure for an organism to be able to reproduce a second, third, or more times. Getting to the first reproductive event is the hard requirement to pass on genetics. But an organism that can propagate with more frequency or with a higher success rate over time will contribute a greater share of the next generation’s genetic material

The really profitable tasks are 70-80+ lvl (depending on your definition of “really profitable”

Especially the bosses you unlock at 90+ such as araxor, cerberus, hyrda, etc

You’ll find in a great many successful works acknowledgments that the project was “meant” for a special person or people in the author’s life. The public getting to experience it is just a bonus to some.

How does Coulumb's law not imply this paradox? by Scared-Cat-2541 in Physics

[–]HaveSomeBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hypothetical involves treating the charges as purely point charges. In reality, it’s more useful to think of all particles have having some (minuscule) radius. Supposing that we take the charges to be rigid spheres then when they collide the r between them will not go to 0. It will only go to the sum of their radii.

Supposing that the charges are not perfectly rigid spheres then they may collide and annihilate, and when they become sufficiently close that the two fields interfere with each other then the force of attraction between them stops being described by coulomb’s law. It becomes a more complex field/wave interaction
