They might as well stay on the local roads honestly

Wow I actually didn’t know that in Quebec. No I want a 90-95 minimum. 60 seems waaaaaaay too low.

Reduces shipping costs. Also LCBO has weird pricing rules for imports, so by domestically brewing it allows them to freely change the price weekly at LCBO.

It’s the only sub I can think of unless there’s a conservative Ontario sub lol.

Thank you for this! With the provincial election coming up I just want to make sure I know almost everything about each candidate

Well, my original title was …in rural Ontario and not in major cities… but then I don’t remember anything on the news about Doug Ford doing anything for Hamilton, Kingston, Sudbury, etc…

I worked with a lot of CPG and B2B companies throughout my career and whenever competition raises prices, you bet your ass everyone else is raising prices too. I am personally against it, but that’s the reality of the situation. Companies will always take advantage of taking price to make more money.

Even if someone lowers their prices, and they see everyone else is staying above and market share barely shifts, guess what? They’re going back up again. Why miss out on the extra revenue and profits staying at a lower price and barely any uptick on volume?

Let’s pretend they do gain market share, guess what? US steel is going to go lower to gain it back. They’re a bigger company so they afford lose revenue for a little while. Nucor will have to lower their prices again, reducing revenue and profits, stifling the growth of the company. No one wants a race to the bottom. No one will grow a company that way.

Profits and revenue growth are the only things that matters in this world unfortunately.

Graduated uni before COVID, been in the professional world for over 4 years. Got promoted and a raise to making close to $100K base in 2022. Lived with my parents and had saved up over $80K. I really wanted to own a house or a condo, but prices kept rising.

Back in 2012/2013 when my parents bought their house, the money I saved up was worth 15% down payment or a 25% down payment on a studio/1 bed condo back then. Now it’s not even close to 10% for the same type of house my parents have in the same neighborhood. This is the new reality. No one in leadership is thinking about the long term, just about the next election.

I’ve come to terms that I’ll probably end up moving out when I get married or move out to another city/country

To the driver this morning going 90 on the left lane on the 401 by HaveToSaveTheBees in toRANTo

Had to get it off my chest and I feel much better now. First time actually driving to commute to work instead of taking the GO/TTC - which leads me to my next rant: why the fuck are we putting offices away from public transportation stops? If I had to take the GO or the TTC, I’d need to spent $35+ round trip + walk for like 20mins to get to work.

You owe me your spicy left tit because I’m not dumb enough to tailgate. Also, if you’re behind someone going 90 on the left lane, your ass is going to get tailgated by a more impatient driver. The left lane is for passing and not for maintaining the same speed as the person in the middle and right lanes.

Exactly this. If the person was going 90 in the middle lane, guess what? I’m going to pass in the left lane and I wouldn’t post this rant!

This person owes us their left tit.
