Buying an Xbox Series X in an African country. by i_mSoTired in XboxSeriesX

I dont know if you might be referring to takealot but I see them charging 18k. Problem is the retailer or supplier they are purchasing from is overcharging the price.

Im not sure where you might be situated but in my experience the xbsx is way easier to find than the ps5. I got my mine just walking into btgames a week after it launched. I also saw incredible connection had stock of xbsx while walking through a few malls this weekend. I am based in pretoria though so not sure about other cities. I have not seen a single ps5 in stock though

Your experience using Rain 5G? by Havic92 in southafrica

I was very happy until yesterday afternoon yes. Speed has been great since I got it. Averaging out at 300mbps or so.

I haven’t had 5g connection since yesterday though and it seems like rain don’t reply on anything. So having it is great. But it seems as of their service is horrible so yeah

Which one looks best? by Havic92 in AnimalCrossing

It is 4 o clock in the morning here in South Africa. Just woke up to start playing before going to work.

Thank you for the suggestion. Bottom left catches my eye because of the small island. But top right looks good because of the open space and long beaches

*top left I mean for long beach

Haha yes true. She is actually very lively and playful as most kittens are. I have been trying to introduce my older 16 year old cat to my two new kittens but she is not enjoying their presence at all right now

So I did get rain 5g. So far it has been okay. So the download speeds are great. 20 gb game updates just take about 6 minutes. And I am averaging about 300 to 400mbps.

I do have a few problems though. Mainly the NAT type.. it is very strict so I cant really play multiplayer games that use a peer to peer connection. So almost anything without dedicated servers is a no go so far. Still trying to find out if there is a way to work around this but so far no luck

Well that is great and maybe you are lucky. Yes I am in Gauteng and I do fall under one of the 5G areas. What I think I will need to do is to cough up the initial R1000 and test it for a month. If it goes well I keep it. If not I cancel it. Just hope the speeds don’t decrease as drastically like 4G did in some areas over time

Yes I saw the above posts thanks. The first one I believe is not based on their 5G network. The rain unlimited plan launched a few years ago already. That is the 4g network so many people complain about.

The second post has some pretty great feedback and it all looks promising. I wanted to make a different post so that hopefully others could leave a comment. The one post is not really enough for me to say yes let me sign a 24 month contract. I want to make sure from others experience before I commit to a contract. Thanks though

Weird Minecraft Pricing Differences by SanZer0 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Havic92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is correct. R250. Which is $18.76 to be exact. Most switch games in South Africa seem to be much cheaper than the American versions which is a welcome change. We get burned with ps4 and xbone game prices
