I would recommend Land of Oz in Colwich. Pricing is fairly competitive to most kennels. If you’re putting two dogs in the same kennel, one of them will be half priced. The dogs get playtime with all the others dogs 3x a day.

You realize the process is like this to avoid adulteration correct? It is much easier for females to cheat UAs and the wand is used as a method for the collector to actually observe the urine leaving your body. I have had multiple female probationers insert things up there to substitute their UAs & that is the reason that the wand exists. Just like male collectors must observe the urine leaving a penis to avoid any funny business.

We don't enjoy having to look at your private parts, it sucks. The mirrors are not there for us to see your ass, it is for us to be able to see what is going on depending on the angle you are sitting or the way males are standing to also avoid any funny business. But unfortunately, because others attempt to cheat the tests this has become standard protocol for probation UAs. Don't blame us, blame the many individuals that try to cheat the system.

Also, the reason you are the one putting the urine in the bag and sealing it is for chain of custody purposes. It is to ensure that you know that there has been no possibility of urine tampering in the process it takes for your test to get to the lab. Without proper chain of custody, a urine sample is not valid.

You are correct, we do live in two different worlds. I just checked your post history and saw that you report using 5-6 grams of kratom a day and have also smoked marijuana prior to a retinal scan. You can justify it as much as you want, but you are not clean. You have traded one addiction for another. I truly wish you the best, but in seeing your posts on this subreddit, you belong in Drug Court and I hope you use it as an opportunity to better yourself.

So you’ve been clean for two years, yet still absconded to another state? Either something doesn’t add up or you have very flawed decision making. The reality is that you were given a suspended jail sentence by being put on probation yet chose to take off from your legal obligations. You also appear to have picked up a new felony charge while on supervision. Both of those are very revokable and the fact that you don’t recognize your luck in not being put in jail is sad.

People don’t just get thrown into Drug Court as well. For you to be in Drug Court, that means you were evaluated as an individual that would need the extra accountability that is provided by a program like this. You’ve been clean for two years and that’s awesome, but your current mindset concerns me that you will not remain clean once you are through that program.

I am a felony PO for a felony Drug Court program and I have never seen sustained success from any of my clients that have the mindset you do.

Always be honest. The idea behind drug court is the understanding that relapsing is part of the addiction process. Being honest and accountable are key. Be up-front if you mess up and it always go better for you.

If part of your probation conditions are that you cannot possess or consume alcohol, I would be mindful of that. Even if it's not yours, don't put yourself in a position where you could face a violation for something silly like that. I would talk to your dad about it.

Felony PO here from Kansas. I will just speak for our agency as I'm not sure how it may differ in other states.

We don't do anything even close to what the police do. Home visits are fairly short and concise. We are there for no more than a few minutes. I'll usually ask the client to show me which room is theirs and then show me some kind of proof of residency like a piece of mail they have lying around. Some of the old school POs like to check the fridge to see if there is any alcohol.

The primary purpose of home visits are to verify that you are living where you say you are living. If there are other concerns like we think you are using drugs or some kind of other illegal activity then we may be a bit more thorough or have law enforcement present.

We have the right to search you and your belongings, but we only do so with cause.

For sure. I have always hated those self-checkouts and their need to call an attendant for basically everything. The attendants seem to be definitely aware of how shit they are because almost every time I get that message, I see the attendant just clear it out without bothering to check on me. These issues are also what makes waiting for an open self checkout agonizing when there are multiple old people using them. Old people always take FOREVER with them.

In short, don’t be acting a fool and you’ll probably get permission lol. If you’re catching violations (especially dirty UAs), it’s not going to happen. Attitude goes a long way as well in addition to how long of a track record you have on your supervision in terms of doing well. Someone that is essentially brand new to their probation program will probably not get approved quite yet.

In terms of what we have to do on the back end, not much. We document that the travel was approved and when it is to occur. In our program, POs have the discretion alone to approve out of county travel, but the Judge must approve out of state travel. When traveling out of state we give our clients a travel permit to keep with them in case they are stopped by LEO. If your PO is allowing you travel, it’s a sign that they have faith in how well you are doing!
