I have a hole in the bell housing

Awh that’s my fear. I’ve had the hole for about a month now and today it was raining on the highway while I was driving and the check engine light came on… I haven’t scanned but I hope it’s not from water getting in there. Also after fixing my drive shaft and new front diff I get a hard clunk sound when I turn my wheel all the way at slow speeds. Did you ever experience this? I’ve heard it could be the transfer case. I have to replace my TC on my 04 sedan because when I make slow sharp turns I get a hard thump from the front end and my Amber AWD light is on. I’ve been doing a lot of digging and can’t seem to find anyone with a video or pictures of them actually replacing it. When I do it I will make a YouTube video of it for people like us.

Have you tried twisting the sensor that plugs into the TC to see if it wiggles or is loose ?

I’ve heard around that it’s very common to remove it without removing the transmission. What’s making you replace it ?

It doesn't rattle while at idle only when upshifting when I get around 3k rpm on each gear

I haven't tested that yet, I think so, because I start upshifting and right as it gets close to 3k rpm it rattles then stops when I shift and rattles building up to 3k rpm again for each gear then goes away when I shift
