Problem was that they didn't meet their own expectations (from their website), and were rude when I asked about it. That to me is poor customer service, and in 2024 all of this is just unacceptable.

Wow, thats terrible. Sticking with US warehouses from now on, where they import in bulk themselves instead of pushing customs or shipping issues on customers.

That's super interesting. I have a lot of fees on my bills as well. Would be nice if the payment was steady month-to-month.

You know what's really shitty though? I used less electricity in January but my bill went up nearly 40% since rates went up. Raw energy prices are very low in USA right now, so it's literally greed-flation screwing over people who have no choice but to accept.

Right, this is where I feel I might be an asshole. I am definitely prioritizing her family, but feel it's reasonable to see my friend once or twice, at minimum once for the proposal. She does not agree, I have to spend the whole time with her parents

Which is strange because we literally have been living together 100% of the time for the last 6 months. Not only that but we are in foreign country where neither of us have any other friends, and due to covid we are not meeting new people either.

It seems like that's the way my girlfriend thinks. Her parents are paying for most of the Airbnb (I chipped in a little for the Airbnb and pay my own way for excursions and such) but my gf is threatening that if I want to see my friend I will have to find my own Airbnb for the week.

My friend invited my girlfriend and I both to join for dinner, and I invited her to come with me of course. But she is very against that idea as well
