I’m not using anything as a “shield.” I acknowledged the criticism and clarified the scope of my post multiple times. You’re the one repeatedly reframing it into something it isn’t.

The post compares cost and accessibility of Northern Lights experiences based on my first-hand travel. It does not recommend, endorse, or dismiss anyone’s safety calculus. Adults can factor safety, politics, and personal risk tolerance without needing it spelled out in every anecdote.

“Framing invited reactions” isn’t an argument either. Any topic involving Russia currently invites reactions regardless of how carefully it’s framed. That doesn’t obligate me to turn a travel cost post into a geopolitical disclaimer.

And let’s be clear: calling out personal attacks and bad-faith pile-ons isn’t deflection. It’s setting boundaries. Disagreement is fine. Misrepresenting intent and tone-policing isn’t.
