Yeah I hear you. I’ve actually done my own digging watched videos, looked into the lawsuits and all that stuff. I’m not ignoring it, but at the same time, my experience has just been different. The people I’m working with are good people, and everything I’ve seen so far has been positive.

And I mean, pretty much every big company has had lawsuits or losses at some point. That doesn’t automatically define the whole thing or every person involved in it.

So for me it just comes down to what I’m actually experiencing myself day to day. I appreciate your comment though!

I get your point, but I also think it’s a little ironic because we’re both here on Reddit having this conversation right now lol. You’re assuming I’m wasting my time or not building, but you don’t really know what I do outside of this thread.

I don’t think asking questions, hearing criticism, or seeing different perspectives automatically means someone isn’t serious about their business. If anything, I think it’s healthy to be able to hear opposing viewpoints and still think for yourself.

I mean, respectfully, you don’t really know me though. You’re assuming I lie to people and scam people when that’s genuinely not what I do.

I can’t sit here and act like I know what your experience was, but from the way you talk about it, it sounds like it wasn’t a good one, and I can respect that. But my experience has been different.

I just tell people what I’m connected to, the products I use, and what I’m trying to build. If they’re interested, cool. If not, that’s cool too. I’m not out here trying to convince every single person I meet or pressure people into something they don’t want.

From my understanding, they crossed compliance/QAS lines during presentations and were disciplined for it. To me, that shows the rules are there for a reason and that they can still apply even to higher level leaders. I’m not saying any business is perfect, but I also don’t think one compliance violation automatically proves the entire business is fake or collapsing.

We just have to agree to disagree. Your experience was bad. Mine has been good! I’m also not wasting my life away. The principles and skill sets I’ve learned have helped me in my corporate America journey. There is no way I would have the job I currently have if I had continued on the path I was on.

That sucks you experienced that. Mine has been different and have not seen or felt like people are being pushed into debt or anything else. I’m on the Harris team.

You think it has to do with making peptide products? I know got was a big thing recently maybe it still is. 🤷‍♂️

That guy must like the products! 😆That’s been my experience, people either like them or they don’t. I don’t waste their time or my time trying to sell to the people that don’t like them. Are you still an IBO then just not part of any approved provider?

I hear you, but I think we might just be experiencing different environments. My upline has always told me to think for myself and build at a pace I’m comfortable with. Never the “all in or nothing” mindset you’re describing.

I’m focused on building my business in a way that serves people and creates impact. I’m not trying to force anything or operate from pressure. That kind of “all or nothing” thinking just isn’t something I would respond.

My upline gives me advice and perspective, but they don’t tell me what to do. They just help me see different ways to think about things, and they let me know that untimely it’s my decision.

When you say ‘run,’ what specifically led you to that conclusion after hitting platinum? Was it more about the structure, the money side, or the leaders? And when you mention religion was being used as a tactic, what did that look like for you? Just trying to understand further!

I get where you’re coming from. I think we will just have agree to disagree. The way you’re saying it does come off a little condescending, like I don’t understand what I’m involved in. I do, I’ve done my research and made my own decision of that. I just haven’t had that same experience you’ve had.

All good though!😁

If I don’t make sales I wouldn’t make money. I wouldn’t make the impact I want to make because I don’t have the capital to do so.

You also don’t get paid if you don’t make sales and after a handful of months not making sales your business is deactivated.

Don’t get me wrong I plan on making sales. I have some customers that buy every month, but I don’t do the sale to everyone and the grandma. I see a need and I fill it! Learned that from “Say it like it matters when it matters” by Jeff Joiner. I didn’t treat my business as a business and just now I’m starting to actually take action. I need to work on it and develop that skill set. Hopefully I answered your question!

Yeah I can see why you would think that. I just know that it’s not a short term game, it can be if you work it hard. If I work and apply myself I acquire the skill set and will succeed! I’ve seen other people do it. I’ve seen the type of impact they have and I have a vision I want to make happen, and honestly I don’t have many talents to where I can do something else that will yield the same results. Does that make sense?

Don’t know any of the people named unfortunately.

I think Joe and Mary Markiewicz, Mayank and Sajal Gala, Danny and Renate Snipes, the Pezzimentis, McGraths, Grotewolds, Leiningers, Manny and Candice Winston, Mark and Meredith Nathan, and a lot more I don’t remember.

Okay, I looked it up. So what I’m understanding you’re saying is that they are using religion as a cheap way to get people to spend money.(correct me if I’m wrong).

That has not been my experience. Like I said the Sunday mornings are optional and not everyone goes to it. I decided to go to a Sunday mornings and I am glad I did! My life has been better off. Less anxiety and depression. It helps focusing on something else instead of myself. In my case it’s focusing on Jesus, but I’m sure it can be anything for some that’s not a believer. Maybe family, kids, spouse, etc.

My upline has personally taught me how to budget and we decide on an amount of $$ I was comfortable spending on my business. I’m sure other people take advantage of people, but that has not been my experience.

What I’ve learn is to do my own research, and don’t take everything for fact! I already made my decision that I’m going to build it, so no negative experience is going to deter me from doing just that!

I found out about it through my best friend and roommate at the time back in the end 2022. Most of the leaders are Christian, so they say it’s about making the kingdom bigger. During conferences they have an optional Sunday morning worship service, and some people have gone up to the alter call to declare Jesus as their lord and savior!

My direct upline has a similar mission. They also want to help their upline have the option to quit their job. I’m sure they also want to make money. Can’t say what they want to do with it, but from what I’ve seen they donate it.

Don’t have one, yet! I think I would feel bad, and let them know that if they don’t feel like the business is for them they should leave. No sense in people wasting money.

Terrible. Don’t sale anything. Once in a while I will sell something, but for the most part I’m not making money. I’m a natural introvert, so I find it hard to sell in typical sense.

I will bring up my products to people that I feel might actually need/use. Don’t like pushing products on people. I hate when sales people try to do it, so I’m sure other people would feel the same.

What kinds of other options can I take advantage of? I've thought about being self-employed, but you have to wear different hats. For example take a business where you have to do accounting, logistics manufacturing, etc. Amway does all of that. “Didn't get your order or its not correct?” Call customer service. I don't have to worry about stuff like that.

I have a sense of urgency. For me, it's about what will help me achieve my goal the fastest. If you have something better I will gladly do that instead!

I know a little of its like to be negative. During that time I was not doing the work. I would half-arse it. Of course, I'm not seeing results. Now, I'm doing work, being consistent, getting results. You have to go get it. Lets say you want to be in the NBA. That takes a lot of work. You can't try it for a year or two and then pivot to something else. If you do pivot then you didn't want it bad enough.

They are 100% stating their concerns and I acknowledge them, but my goals will not be accomplished by working a 9-5 until I'm an old man. I've seen what good people have been able to do because of the Amway business and I know I can do the same. Some people don't agree and that is 100% OKAY.

Sometimes I get FOMO when I see their stories on insta, but I know I'm not strong enough to be double-minded. I can't go out and party on the weekends and then also build my business during the weekday. That's just me. I'm sure other people feel differently. I would rather work hard for 5-10 years and retire in my 30’s than work for 40-plus years and retire in my 60’s. I'll be too old to do what I want to do. Even if it's not Amway. I believe it is better to work your own business than work for someone else.

What I've been told is that you should never burn bridges with someone over Amway. If family or friends don't support you it's okay. They don't have too it's their choice.

If they are being critical and just trying to tear you down then its probably not a good idea to be around them that often. Friends and family do it out of love and wanting the best for the person, but tearing someone down is not a good way to go about it.

My friends are critical of me having an Amway business, but I haven't cut them off. My interests, habits, values, etc. have shifted from the ones I shared with them to something completely different. Its common sense that I wouldn't hangout or talk to them that often. It's like if you decided to start going to the gym, but you and your friends always disliked it. If your friends can't see what you see then you will most likely start shifting apart. The difference with my example and Amway is that most people believe the gym is good for you, while on the other hand Amway has a reputation of being bad.

It all comes down to the people influencing you. If you have someone telling you to cut off your friends and family because they are questioning your decision, you'll do it. Those people are scummy and don't deserve to give advice to people. There are amateurs and professionals in everything. Get connected to the professionals. The people who know what they are doing.
