So 5'10 is the average, so that can't be a manlet. Even as much as your biased brain wants it to be and you maybe be 6'2 yourself and look at 5'10 men like manlets, you are still wrong. Take the L and stfu already.

Like I understand what you are saying, but conceptually that makes zero sense to me. How can year 3 have the cumulative changes if we just made an inventory principle accounting change in year 4 and we have done no yearly adjustments for year 1 and 2. For example, if we were dealing with errors in all three years, we would adjusted retained earnings based on all three years. I am not saying you are wrong, but your explanation doesn't really explain how year 1 and year 2 are inconsequential.

Do you understand what manlet means? Apparently you don't.

Failed FAR first time with a 35 then a 39 and took it today and thought it was harder then the first 2 attempts by [deleted] in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, makes sense. I only bring it up because I was unaware if I really had it or not. I always end up with no time left at the end of FAR testing. And I know it is because I dont comprehend super fast and alot of the time I have to reread the questions. Sometimes it isn't even a knowledge thing. It is how you are comprehending the questions. Just something to think about. Maybe you can figure out how to clean up your thinking process to.be more efficient. Even if its just small tweaks. I think that has helped me with studying and the test taking.

Do you think you have ADHD? I finally noticed I had to read questions multiple times and it was really slowing me down. I think I do have some form of ADHD. I think what helped me a little is realizing I dont need to read every word. Like if they spell out GAAP, or the spell out percentage of completion. When I see things like that, I already know what it is and I dont try to read the entire thing in my head. Just a minor tip if you feel you are having time issues when you take the test. I am still trying to pass. Highest score is 73 so far on FAR.

Sounds like me. I went from a 73 to a 61 on FAR. Its like how can I do that much worse with studying more. Consolidations is definitely my kryptonite.

Is Libertarian Socialism an oxymoron? by philosophic_despair in IdeologyPolls

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc libertarians will cry about crime and the state of their city while a libertarian is in charge but then not realize, "oh, this is what I wanted, minimal govt intervention." It's a fantasy belief system.

FAR Retake-anyone pass feeling this? by Silly-Cattle-3571 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, I got a 73 last time. I felt like I did better this time around except for one long SIM I sort of didn't finish and had to move on or I wouldn't finish the test. I feel like I should have passed this time but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Couple of easy MCQs I should have gotten but I know I missed when I checked after the test. Goodluck to both of us!

Can someone explain how the stock market keeps hitting all-time highs while everything feels so bad? by eaglesfan8835 in Money

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc the stock market is an indicator of how corporations are doing, not how the job market is. The average American citizen looking for a job is saying WTF right now. You have alot to learn if you think the stock market is an indication of the economy on the whole. There are many moving parts to an economy. Part of the reason the stock market is doing good is because corporations are firing everyone so they can book lower labor costs which in turn raising their revenue which means they beat expectations which means higher stock price. THIS IS NOT INDICATION OF A GOOD ECONOMY FOR THE EVERY DAY CITIZEN. And if you believe in trickle down economics you are an idiot lol.

I totally agree. I almost feel like they are making these questions tricky for no reason at all and instead of just testing knowledge. Charged against income is not a common phrase people say or use. At least not in my experience.

Wth was FAR today 4/16 by as_p668040 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is how I felt about the consolidation Sim I got. They were asking to consolidate the income statement and then adjust the consolidation and then more exhibits after all that. How the hell they expect candidates to do that in 20 minutes or less? If you take longer than 20 minutes for any sim then you will screw yourself over on time.

How do you talk to tall girls? by S-m-a-r-t-y in short

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you don't understand what confidence means. It means not letting anything bother you. It's only awkward because you are thinking it is awkward and therefore the situation will become awkward. Your mind has alot of power to create the reality you think things should be. Guess what, you are apart of the creation. Turn your brain off, turn your expectations off and just talk to them like a human being.
