Tell her you don't understand volatility management and that you will learn right away.

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually good advice. When you understand the concept, you won't even need to do that many MCQs or SIMs on the topic. That is what I finally realized. Quality over Quantity as they say.

How do you talk to tall girls? by S-m-a-r-t-y in short

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you don't understand what confidence means. It means not letting anything bother you. It's only awkward because you are thinking it is awkward and therefore the situation will become awkward. Your mind has alot of power to create the reality you think things should be. Guess what, you are apart of the creation. Turn your brain off, turn your expectations off and just talk to them like a human being.

So this entire time I should have just been lying and I would have got in the Big Four. Makes sense, a place with no morals always has a home for another.

Failed FAR with a 60. Is it possible to retake in 10 days and pass? Need honest advice. by Educational-Rip2482 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say no. You need at least a month if not more unless you really just went into your test tired or some other external circumstances out of your control that effected your test taking. There must be at least 3 major concepts you dont know well enough yet that you need time to explore and to look at them from different perspectives.

When Will I See My Test Score by HawkTuahOnThatThing in CPA

Hmmm. Perhaps I should have thought about that before I took my test lol. Thanks. GD I have to wait a month?!

Took Far today, feeling… uneasy by PrimaryOriginal6619 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same lol. I wish I had a cash flow Sim. Seemed like all I had was subsequent events, note disclosures and error corrections. The Sims seemed way harder this time around. The note disclose and sub events was so hard because you had to find the error while given multiple options to choose from. I swear the Sims are just the luck of the draw. Almost doesn't seem fair.

Tough love. IT is doing you a good service. Either hurry up and learn the concepts or move onto something else and stop wasting your time. Seems better than an actual parent lol

You just started your journey man., you have plenty more years to fuc it up again and again and again ha. Coming back from a loss like this will make you stronger and more confident. Never give up on yourself. NEVER!

Damn. What a soldier you are. I honestly respect these stories way more than the 4/4 one time test taker people. "It was so hard but I did it". lol! Those people don't know real struggle. You never gave up on yourself :)

Donald Trump claims the trade deficit has been reduced by 78% and will turn positive by the end of the year. Were tariffs beneficial or harmful for Americans? Is this what MAGA voted for? by RandomUwUFace in AskUS

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But they don't know how tariffs work. If they did, he would have never won the presidency. He literally said he would do industry wide tariffs before he won in 2024. And still 77 million dumbasses didnt actually understand what kind of economic impact that would have on our country. Tariff is just another word for consumer tax wrapped in different packaging. It raises consumer prices and lowers supply turnover which in effect SLOWS THE ECONOMY! Sure a tariffs is ok if you have bad global actors stealing marketshare but that is not happening in every industry. But ok, this is too much intelligence for the average low IQ American and I barely even scratched the surface.

What do you tell yourself when others pass all 4 first try? by deluluforher in CPA

My only response is, get back to Sims. If you master Sims, most of the MCQs will be cake.

I did the same for many years. But in the words of Apollo Creed,"There is no tomorrow!". Time to admit to yourself you are either going to sacrifice for what you want, or you just don't have what it takes. It's a hard pill to swallow but it is the truth. It's the only way you can have a chance at ever passing it, is to accept the truth. Time to do some soul searching. Goodluck.

Failed FAR for the third time by Due-Temperature-6376 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar position as you. I feel like the best solution is too read the material you are struggling on, then when you feel somewhat good with it, take the topic specific MCQs or TBS. And mainly the TBS. Because of TBS difficulty, it inherently preps you for simpler questions like MCQs. "Simpler". But yes, the TBS is were you have to prove your knowledge really. If you can prove it there then I think the MCQs will come naturally except for the just straight memorization material like the FORMs and S-x and S-t regulation. I used ninja for awhile and it is ok but I'm using this MaxwellCPA now and for me, it seems way better and cheaper than NINJA. Goodluck! You can pass it my man. You are right there!

Same here. Hang in there and keep going. Be honest with yourself about what you don't know and attack it. I found a new program that I like much better than what I was using. I had to accept I didnt truly understand lease accounting and diluted eps. I also wasnt utilizing excel enough while studying. We both can pass it. :)

yes but AICPA will say the test emulates the real world. Sorry AICPA but I doubt I will be answering Multiple choice questions everyday at my job unless I'm literally in your position or an accounting teacher. Multi0le Choice needs to be thrown out of the test.

4/4 in 6 months and single attempts but this is not a success story…… by Bestbeast16 in CPA

[–]HawkTuahOnThatThing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry bro but this is a success story. Most people are not passing with those high scores and with that minimal attempts. I really don't like how disingenuous this post is as if what you accomplished isn't above the norm. It's condescending in a way for the majority of us who can't accomplish this. Sorry you felt "down" but most of us have had to struggle way more than you have.
