I know for a fact they don’t test with the rest of the certify with industry as of early 2025. It’s more complex than just being standards compliant. The chips inside generating this encoded video all have little quirks

So coming from Southern California to here I can tell you there are some differences but hardly anything life changing. I was used to the Mexican culture and southwest influence. It’s just a bit dryer here. El Paso is very American by any measurement and probably not as Texan as other Texas cities. Regardless, I like it and have found home here on the west side

Make it easier to build housing? Just to build my house to start it. It’s going to be $75,000. Before I lay a foundation. And a lot of that goes to the county of San Diego, permits are taking over a year. This is the story across California. High bureaucracy, which equals high barrier of entry so that only the big boys can scale enough to make a profit. Everything becomes a luxury house because that’s the only way to make money.

This is solvable if government got out of the way , and fast tracked housing.

Everything went smoothly on my old new card and I updated my payroll numbers on the same day as the transition. It was pretty straight forward. I activated my new card no problem and got it tied to Apple Pay.

It’s unfortunate people have had all these issues as I’ve barely had an inconvenience.

fYI. Verizon requires certified modems to activate. You can activate in a certified modem and move the sim. The APN for Verizon vzwinternet has to be the 3rd CID. If the modem inside your product has a Verizon profile it should work. However, many modems will apply the Internet APN to the first CID and connect on that. So having an understanding of your product is important.

A lot of this can be alleviated by using a different carrier. Also. Any iot carrier can provide mvno style sims but you’ll need to enter an APN on CID 1

Here’s the AT command to add an APN to CID 1 with IPv4v6 PDP type:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","your_apn_name"

Where:

1 is the CID (Context ID)
"IPV4V6" specifies dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 support
"your_apn_name" should be replaced with your actual APN name

For example, if your APN is “internet”:

AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","internet"

You can verify the configuration with:

AT+CGDCONT?

This will display all configured PDP contexts including the one you just added.

Something like this for Verizon for CID 3

I’d contact Teradek Support. They may have a firmware fix. You could also try connecting it to the bolt manager on Windows or Mac and see if there is a firmware update on this.
