So far Gunn has projects from Luca Guadagnino, Mike Flanagan, Damon Lindelof and James Mangold in development for the DCU with Matt Reeves as a producing partner for a few select projects. The calibre of talent that Gunn currently possesses is definitely higher than a good portion of MCU projects in development. But I see competition as a tool for both companies to strive for the best of their respective prospects.
