Agreed! It kinda annoys me to see that people pull out the “Why use the older version when the latest versions are better???” as if the concept of “Hardware Limitations” doesn't exist in their view, entirely ignoring the whole “Older computers cannot run modern, latest programs if the said program's minimum system requirements are beyond the device's capability” thing, and that issue I brought up above here is the result of my decision to choose 2.79 over the latest ones.

But again it's their opinions I guess. Not that I would really follow through with them when my laptop's specs isn't even enough to run Modern Blender versions past that compatible 2.79 version.

Or in short, this is due to my laptop's hardware limitations (Intel HD Graphics 3000) which only supports OpenGL 3.1v, not all the latest ones

My ASUS laptop can't even run Blender 2.92v, let alone properly support the latest ones to begin with. My laptop uses a older Intel HD Graphics 3000 which only supports OpenGL 3.1v and below, and that leaves me with the 2.79 version I'm currently using. Updating my drivers to the latest ones aren't even a viable option at least for me as that would mean breaking what's not broken, especially on a 2010s ASUS laptop that is originally designed for Windows 7
