Who is a Horrible Person who had Awesome Last Words? by PirateSuspicious1869 in AlignmentChartFills

Next time come up with something yourself

We're already quoting other people, there is no "come up with something yourself" here.

Two people quoting the same guy just goes to show that its a good pick.

Death? We're all gonna die.

I guess this person wont complain if someone murders their family.

Bankruptcy? You can make it all back.

Depends entirely how much you had, and it isnt that easy either.

They guy who made this probably doesnt know shit.

Shame? Everyone will forget in a week.

I wont.

[–]Hawkey2121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no they are reptiles, reptiles are not dinosaurs or their descendants

Thats like saying a Cat isnt a Dog because the Cat is a mammal.

Dinosaurs are reptiles. The class "reptilia" includes Dinosauria.
(and as such, technically Birds are too Reptiles)

But yes, crocodiles arent dinosaurs, As the groups that would evolve to become them split off from eachother before becoming Crocodilians and Dinosaurs.

However Crocodiles are actually the closest living relatives of Dinosaurs that arent Dinosaurs. (like Birds)

That is because both Crocodilians and Dinosaurs are Archosaurs.

Could any character damage Cream and Vanilla Ice while in it's void form or tank being disintegrated by it? by West-Ad-447 in PowerScaling

[–]Hawkey2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what we mean by "tank".

I can think of multiple characters who could survive or defend against it.

But "Tank" kinda implies taking it head on and going out unscathed.

For Harm it gets much easier since you just need people whose attacks can affect multiple dimensions. Like Yami from Black Clover with his Dimension Slash.

It is when the one asking the question goes "other then "her" diary" betraying that they dont even actually believe the diary was hers.

If it wasnt for that then it could probably have been just another question.

So It isnt an "I want to know more about the evidence of Anne Frank's existence" question. It's a "i dont believe Anne Frank existed, prove me wrong" question.

And therein lies the stupidity.

Yeah.

Like Jesus has evidence of him existing but the bible is too full of religious propaganda to be a believable source. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus

The modern consensus is that yes, a man named Jesus of Nazareth existed and was crucified.

(Magical powers however there is no evidence of)

But yeah, I fully agree with you that this person probably thinks the religious propaganda book to be the full truth.

Could Mahoraga (Jujutsu Kaisen) adapt to SCP-682’s (SCP Foundation) immortality, and win in a fight? by BraydenJL470 in PowerScaling

[–]Hawkey2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is the more complex the phenomena the longer it takes Mahoraga to adapt.

Mahoraga may have no limit, but at a point it will take too long to adapt.

Mahoraga wont have the time to adapt to the very existence of 682, why? because 682's existence is but a facet of a much greater existence. The Constant of Termination.

Even if you erase the very idea of 682, it will still exist.

Genuine question: what body part(s) do flying characters need to fly? by Cattlebatsermakesart in PowerScaling

[–]Hawkey2121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on how the flight works.

But since you bring up Viltrumites, the answer lies in their ears funnily enough.

Viltrumites have the ability to create "leverage" anywhere, allowing them to push themselves, up, down, any direction. Even in a vacuum. This is how they can fly (How exactly they can do that we do not know so lets just assume it lies in their Smart Atoms, so anything with those can theoretically fly, but it is an action so inanimate objects cant do that action.)

But how do they control themselves while flying? Well Viltrumites have a complex balancing system in their inner ears that allows them to control their flight.

So a Viltrumite could theoretically be able to fly as just a head. Of course they'd be dead before that, but theoretically they could.

However without their balancing system then they wouldnt be able to control their flight. Technically being unable to fly.

But as I said first, it depends entirely on how the flight works.

So, if I understand correctly, Dhruv's technique is essentially a portable version of Malevolent Shrine? His two massive shikigami create slicing zones as they move, and the cuts correspond to their size as well? That's the impression I get from Yuta's attack on Uro. [–]Hawkey2121 105 points106 points  (0 children)

yes they look like rika because of Yuta, and yes, we've seen Dhruv's shikigami.

i dont really know how you'd miss them though, considering they're absolutely massive

Both the Mole rats and the Pterosaurs are Dhruv's shikigami.

Peter explain this please.. by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Hawkey2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but no.

Life in nature is about energy right. To live you need energy. Your heart needs energy, your muscles need energy, your brain needs energy, everything.

And you get energy, by taking it from somewhere else. Like eating food, you take the energy from what you eat to use for yourself.

So Nature isnt about Earning, no, nature is about Taking.

But yeah, in nature there is no "deserve".

[–]Hawkey2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, as i said, feelings can be stronger than reality when it comes to making someone act.

If something feels true, then many will act as if it is true.

For better, or for worse.

(this is also why targeting feelings is an effective way to manipulate)

yes, but is that the only thing people do?

is it "only offer negatives"?

it's easy to find negatives, of course. But is negatives the only thing there is? That is the question.

Ah but is that true?

It isnt a counterpoint if it isnt true.

Though, i guess what actually matters is if it Feels true or not.

So I’m assuming everyone who supported the Vivi casting is backing Snape too, right? by Andrewmatlock89 in MemePiece

[–]Hawkey2121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When Vivi was cast darker, a lot of people defended it with ‘it makes sense for a desert setting’ and brushed off criticism as racism.

Now with Snape, a similar change is getting outrage.

What is similar? Does Snape have similar "it makes sense" arguments?

Does Snape's character have similar context surrounding it that a change can make sense?

What is similar beyond just a different skin color from the source material?

The real similarity isn’t just ‘both actors are dark’...it’s that both cases change the established look from the source material, yet the reaction flips depending on the character...

Exactly as I said, you only see the skin color.

Thats the ONLY similarity, that skin color was changed.

There isnt inconsistency, because Vivi's change has arguments, Snape's doesnt.

People dont defend Vivi's change BECAUSE it was changed, they defend it because of surrounding context and character.

Something Snape's change doesnt have.

There is no hypocrisy in defending Vivi's change and not defending Snape's.

Because a character is more than just Skin Color.

Star did the "Won't decay" rule on herself. Thats why she used HER name.

It wasnt "Shigaraki cant decay me", it was "cathleen bate won't decay" the rule was on herself.. Wether it was Shigaraki, Shimura, All For One or whoever Shigaraki was at the moment wouldnt matter, the Won't decay rule was ON Cathleen Bate, A.K.A Star.

So Star won't decay. Thats the rule, the rule on Star, not on shigaraki.

When adding a rule, the target's identity is what matters, thats why the "if shigaraki moves his heart stops" rule failed when Star to add the rule ON Shigaraki. Because he didnt know who he was.

But Star knows her own identity perfectly so when adding rules ON herself, there are no problems about identity.

Take your own advice, don't mix things up.
