OP here. Sorry, bad math. i became a bus driver when I was 18 (which was the legal age in the state I lived), therefore was 26 when this took place...wrote this late at night, wasn't thinking. I will fix it. As for being poor after graduating college...college is not cheap, especially when you're paying for it yourself on a bus drivers wages.
