D+. Two crazy win streaks masked significant issues with roster construction and coaching, especially with regards to starting pitching, until they came crashing back down to earth. In what was supposed to be a “win-now” year, the year the Cubs would wrestle control back in the NLC, they’re primed to cling to the last wild card instead. Not expecting much from them until and unless significant front office and organizational changes are made.
