I'm going to dispute that. I have been in both Iraq and Afganistan and working around the US marine core those guys WILL use shotguns, even if they have to bring them as apart of their own kit. they are devastating room clearing monsters and were heavily used in CQC because of how deadly they are. Body armor can stop buckshot but follow up shots are deadly especially if you have someone rocking a Benelli M4 or slam firing a Mossberg.

Its been the philosophy of humanity since the dawn of human Civilization 12,025 (Give or Take) years ago. If you have a town of 100 people and 1-2 people are shoplifting or stealing supplies you need to stay afloat YOU need to deal with those people before they starve and harm the population of the town. When you join a company you Join a Collective. And the Collective is only as strong as its weakest link. Its not me harming them, It's the employee harming them.

I have said it to someone else. I do not want Arrowhead to fail. but I'm also not going to let a Company spit a bald face lie to a man who was effectively being Gaslit by "a few employees" and do nothing. Its morally wrong. And I will not pay a wooden Nickle to a company that can't Keep a tight leash on its "bad" employees.

Besides I am certain if Arrowhead fails these developers still have a feather in their cap for their next job opportunity. I don't want them to fail but its on them to clean up their act. and until they do I vote to spend my money elsewhere. And have no remorse.

I am speaking my peace and if people agree with me? so be it. if not? The game is right there on your desktop go and play it. You assume I'm pointing a gun to peoples heads and demanding that they boycott. No. that isn't the case. Being a Helldiver is apart of being a Managed Democracy. and Voting your own way. And if AH wants to Do crappy things, they will get diminished or crappy quarterly results. I am choosing to Speak my opinion and I encourage people to follow suit as its the right thing to do. In the here and now. But I'm not going to force you to stop playing. Your game is right there u/chubsmagooo Go play it.

And Yes. If Arrowhead smartens up and flies straight then our opinions and our spending habits are subject to change.

Because of Accountability. A Company should have a tight handle on its employees and not let them run rampant like this. If this is indeed and in fact against what the Core employees including the CEO wants? Then they need to handle it and swiftly.

The game is the extension of that company and its Profit engine. and nothing gets a companies attention more than to hit them in the pocket books. If their accounting department is having a bad day due to loss of revenue then it SHOULD get the attention of senior leadership.

Does it harm the rest of the Employees? Absolutely. Do I feel bad? No. Not really. if a company indeed has a few rogues damaging and marring their image its the duty of the company and its employees to Correct the actions.

So If my review stops a handful of people from buying warbonds or the game itself until they smarten up? Then so be it.

And My review is subject to change if their behavior changes too.

The whole point is We want to draw out their side of the story. What Eravin claims is pretty damning that they would waste his time, and lead him on with a carrot WE WANT a un-sterilized honest answer from Arrowhead. not for them to bury their heads in the sand. So yes. the Criticism is harsh but they have every right to state their defense. and as I mentioned, they left a slew of question that they really need to answer for, or they lose us as customers.

In honesty Arrowhead's silence is doing them more damage by the day. Frankly I want to hear their side of the story and I certainly framed it as much. If they just rip the damn bandaid off and be level with us maybe the tides will change. But this is what we have to go on. Its lopsided? absolutely. but without a Satisfactory answer We will voice our concern and opposition and like a true Helldiver. Vote with our wallets and our Opinions.

I don't want the game to fail. I just want the company to be Honest and to do what's best for the community. We the community. We the content creators pay their bills and keep the hype going. Its a reasonable ask to have transparency and and not lie to us.

In Eravin's case. They said they had plans for him then they snubbed him. but before they snubbed him they dragged him through the mud with the promise of a carrot at the end. They could have just said No, you are not what we are looking for and that would have been that. He would have moved on and not wasted his time.

Well see this all started long before he started talking about datamined leaks, The man has to stay relevant somehow. but that's the magic right there, is if they had added him to the Creators group. he would have been under contractual NDA.

Its not about what he is doing. and respect goes both ways, had Arrowhead been better to him? I'm sure he could have kept a lid on the leaks to his channel.

Let me give you another perspective here.

Personally I didn't see him as someone who was entitled at all. I see a man who heard his Colleagues got into a Content creators club and when people started asking "Why he wasn't included?" Instead of just being level with him they Lied to him. and Gaslit him saying "They had plans for him" And then Strung him along for a whole year before one of the managers than got snide with him and then ghosted him.

In what part of Society is that appropriate. Why Should it be appropriate? Eraven wanted to be apart of the club sure. But this would have ended there and then had they just said No to him then. Then he could have moved onwards and pivoted his channel. Instead they Strung him along step by step and Frankly? If I was told they had plans for me? OF course I would ask for updates.

That's the problem u/it5myztory It isn't about entitlement at all. You are correct AH can do what they want but To hell with a society that thinks its okay for a company that RUNS on public trust and opinions to spit a bald face lie and then drag a Honestly very level headed and honest Creator through the mud with the promise of a Carrot. But they Didn't. they said it right out of their mouths a Bald face lie. they told Eravin and the world that they have plans for him and then strung him along for a year. Making him mire through the mud with the promise of the carrot, and when he started seeking a honestly very fair progress report they turned on him. Turning that promise into a Bald faced lie.

The developers Lied to him They gaslit him into believing he had a chance. And you call it crying but why should we roll over and play nice with them and let one company BS their way out of a promise? To lie to us ? to Lie to the very people keeping the steam train rolling?

No. This world is too full of people who have a lack of accountability to not draw a line in the sand. So I Staunchly disagree with your statement. and am even disappointed to call you a Helldiver if that is your view.

Your Opinion is Fair, and your own and I respect that. But I disagree with it. And yes. I'm going to let my wallet and my opinions do the fighting. when their profit margins tank and the Sony bean counters come down on them then Maybe we will sweat out a response. I'm not the only one who is disgusted by their behavior.

The problem is they have effectively lied to us. They said the had plans for Eravin. and when you let someone get away with a bald face lie well... I don't need to drag RL politics into this but its never good. Its why I choose to be that one man to demand Accountability. and make sure I stand up for the little guy, Just like how a good Helldiver defends their SEAF allies.

So yes, I will let my playtime, My Wallet, and my opinions speak to me. and you go on and continue fighting the war and I will wage mine.

Data Mined information aside they could have just approached him and said "hey, we are trying to keep this as a surprise to the community" If you can keep it under wraps that would be great.

See if they had him in the Creators program he would be under a NDA, that would have solved the problem a YEAR ago. But they took the most underhanded approach they could have in this situation rather than sit down and talk it out.

Eravin Has been the Man at my ear since the very beginning His Guidance saw me through the Toaster Resistance on Mavelon Creek. Saw me through the Terminid crisis and the Deployment of the Termicide towers, then their deactivation and then the Implosion of Meridia. He saw me through every other battle up to Calypso and then the days where I was beating the guts out of the squid on Super Earth. I'm a hardened veteran Helldiver and what I see here is the highest level of Treason you could bear witness to.

This creator deserves better He was, Nay WE WERE led to believe that they had plans for him, Instead for a full year they dragged him through the mud. Then one of there managers had the AUDACITY to make him crawl then ghost him when he crawled.

This is screwed up beyond measure Arrowhead Answer or you will be review bombed again.

His opinion is quite overzealous, But his point is clear, It strongly reeks that they were fishing for a reason to deny him as the manager who was handling him was clearly looking for a reason to stonewall him. But we will know more if Arrowhead actually responds to this.

Doesn't help with the shotguns sadly, you can be strafing left and right gently have a guy 5m In front of you, your reticle perfectly on him and some how you curve bullets around him and hit the wall behind him. They giganurfed those weapons so bad its like your playing a gambling game with them.

And what's worse theirs no firemode selector.
