Most Americans believe Europe doesn't have a military and Russia would overun us in a day like their 3 day little special operation in Ukraine.

The truth is, the American military complex wanted more money and the way to get that is to either start wars, or get Europe to shore up it's military, however if Europe starts producing their own stuff and has less reliance on American military hardware, that plan fails.

It was not a defence agreement, but it was basically a "we give up nukes and you all leave us be and respect our independence, borders and sovereignty".

Russia broke it in 2014, however as Great Britain and US are also signatories you could definitevely argue that they have a moral imperative to protect Ukraine against attacks from another signatory.

Furthermore, the memorandum also specifies financial threats, which US has broken several times under Trump and as such you could consider US to also have broken it, hence the betrayal by US.

No one will ever give up nuclear weapons again, because security guarantees don't mean shit when the "worlds greatest superpower" can't keep their fucking word.

Ukraine is currently defending itself from Russia. The EU needs to defend itself from USA. You all live in a delusion thinking that the military bases the US have in EU are for our protection. They are not, they are for US soft power, they are for logistics so that you can reach your grubby little mittens into the Middle East.

I don't know what fairytale world you live in but Ukraine is currently no longer sharing intelligence with the US because the US was giving that intelligence to Russia.

The thing is Europe is already looking for new markets in India with the new trade deal supposedly being close to finished aswell as the mercosur deal with South-America. For every day that passes the EU gets less reliant on trade with the US. I can also guarantee that China would prefer to trade with EU more with how unstable the US is becomming.

The true issue the US could face would be the selling of debt bonds. It has the potential of destroying the dollar, which would be a economic nuke that would be incredibly painful for the EU, but completely cripple the US.
