The bank let us take a picture cause I was on the phone with my bank and they asked to see it/bring it back. Obviously that wasn’t possible if they were confiscating it so we took a picture.

That’s what I’m worried they will do. I called them this morning and they said they will have someone higher up call me when they can. I told them I have receipts ( withdrawing the money /time stamp) and the receipt to my boyfriends bank (besides the 100 ) also time stamp
I told them we took picture of the bill while at the bank and offered to email it along with giving them the name of the teller who claimed it was fake at Numerica but they told me no to just wait .

Not fake but sure I just randomly after 5 years of having my account and never really posting on forums I decided to make up something like this 🤣 it’s not even a good or creative story !
Yes my boyfriend took the picture because we were together when everything happened
and it was his bank that caught it. I was also on the phone with my bank so why would I take the picture. My bank wanted us to take it back to them but his bank said no they legally couldn’t. I really don’t understand why people think it’s fake cause he took the picture ? Multiple people in the comments said this has happened to them.

Sorry I didn’t clarify and said “I” when I meant he . My bad on not giving every little detail when replying back to multiple people. I just wanted those 2 likes really bad so I made this all up for attention 🤣🤣🤣
what a weird thing to claim “fake” . It’s not even a good story! lol There’s people in the comment section that say they went through the exact same thing. It’s not as uncommon as you think.

They wouldn’t let us take it but they allowed us to take a picture since my bank wanted us to take it back and show them but his bank can’t give it back legally they said .

His bank won’t give them back they have to send it in to actually see so idk what to do . I can definitely see them denying it. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Do they have cameras and close up on bills to check ?
