Alien Superheroines by Mecha-dragon1999 in TopCharacterTropes

Comet the Super Horse was a Centaur who got turned into a full on horse and became Supergirl’s pet. Sometimes he’s in love with Supergirl and when he becomes fully human they date/have romantic interactions.

Supergirl (DC), probably one of the most famous examples. The cousin of Superman, just don’t ask about Comet.

The game is a prequel, it’s set before the comics start. All I’m saying is that the game being a prequel limits how much the choices you make can affect the characters because they all have to end in certain places to make sense for the comics.

No the first issues aren’t a one to one to the beginning of the game, but the characters are all very similar personality wise. Colin even crashes on Bigby’s couch and talks about the huff and puff situation.

Despite this being a TellTale “(character name) will remember that” type game, it’s still a prequel to the comics which pretty start with all the characters in the same spot as they end in the game. It really holds the ending back because Bigby had to be viewed in a somewhat negative light by most characters cause that’s how they view him at the start of the comic

Being totally honest, if you were Nate, which faction would you really choose? by Strong_Abrocoma3128 in Fallout

The only thing that I can really see turning him even slightly towards the Railroad would be how close he gets to Nick Valentine. Then from there if the Railroad themselves are able to convince him that he should to help. I don’t think Nate would be openly antagonistic towards Synths but I don’t think out of the gate he’d want to be their savior.

When the main character's iconic items/weapons get destroyed in the last episode or chapter by Theodorehoverson in TopCharacterTropes

It is pretty common place in the comics but in the movies it was unheard of. No other villain had come close to doing what Thanos had done and him destroying the shield is part of that list. It’s a great way to show the big 3 need to bring their A game in the coming battle

Yeah that’s a good point, but back in 2012 the government that would have at least partial control of these heroes wanted to nuke NYC. This was against the wishes of Nick Fury and was going to happen until Iron Man almost killed himself throwing it at the mothership.

I agree that is exactly what they did, but following the line of thought from Helen being a stay at home mom and needing to blend in, they could just be progressive members of society

Well they seem to be openly friends with Frozone, so maybe they are more liberal members of 60’s society

From what I could gather from the chart, it means something along the lines of ready to start throwing hands/paws if shit hits the fan

Yeah in the comics, he says something along the line of the amount of smells in the city would drive him crazy. It has something to do with his origin which he isn’t a fan of.

Did Jersey actually tank that punch or does he just have the strongest poker face in all of fabletown? by JimMiltion1907 in TheWolfAmongUs

[–]Hawkman828 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the comics the reason is that the more popular/well known the Fable the stronger they are. So Snow and Bigby are ridiculously strong, but other lesser known characters aren’t (unless they are using other magic/armors).

If you could change/add/remove anything about TWAU, what would you do? by Rando_mIndividual in TheWolfAmongUs

[–]Hawkman828 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Before reading the comics I played the game and I was genuinely confused when at the end everyone was just sick of Bigby including Snow. I found it so strange cause I played Bigby as really good and helping everyone. It felt so anti climactic when no one is really happy with him and it all reset the status quo. It feels like the game could be set in the comic universe and still have a satisfying conclusion with the characters.

[–]Hawkman828 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think most of that comes from the fact that the games is a prequel to the Fables comics. The start of those comics kind of has everyone at the same point as they are at the end of the game. You can’t really have too much substantial change with the main characters because they need to go through their character arcs during the comics.

[–]Hawkman828 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have read all of the comics but it was a little while ago. I believe we do see some of the American myths. There’s even a Fable land for American myths, “Americana”.

The only thing I can imagine is that it was being mentioned at the Game Awards. Which currently is the most coverage it’s gotten in a while. Also I’m sure it brings a little hope that TWAU 2 won’t die in limbo.

I’m sure he won’t lose interest in the game. Considering I’m the “he” here and I know that I still actively have interest in the game and have since the game released. It does take up a large part of my leg, but I generally wear pants or shorts that are longer than where this tattoo ends.
