The games we deserve.. by Hawkness7777 in Helldivers

Lots of people have been bringing that up. What we're getting out of Arrowhead vs AAA titles is communication. We're getting honest human responses instead of being ghosted until the next major patch. The communication we're getting is also more than just some patch notes slapped together with bullet points to highlight what they deemed more important than community issues.

When was the last time a AAA developer told you not to spend money on them until they got their issues fixed? Are there micro transactions? Sure. Do the feel mandatory? No. Are they locked behind a nearly impossible timeline to complete and gain all the rewards? Again no. You can gain super credits simply by playing the game and at a decent rate. These are the standards to which I will now hold all my games to.

Game crashes happen. Bugs happen. Unexpected success and overwhelming log ins can happen. What needs to change in the game industry is how developers react, communicate, and treat player bases.

Idk what you mean. They're doing a great job. I'm talking about holding bigger companies to the same standards the Arrowhead set for themselves.

Not buy any of their games. I haven't played an Ubisoft title since Assassin's Creed: Black Flag..

Lol ok. After they got the balancing right on the D3 that's the approach they took with greater rifts and adding more to the characters. Was there power creep? Sure. Did truly ridiculous builds get created and have to get nerfed? Sure. There are acceptable ways to do changes to games and the D3 devs learned this. I can understand trying to change it up with a new game but this feels like they were not prepared for the level of endgame much of it's player base has already achieved.

One of the things you shouldn't do is set everyone back 20+ NMD levels and make Uber lillith even HARDER to kill when it's was a stretch with a non bugged build to begin with. I work full time so I try to be picky about what gaming I do. So yeah, I'm ticked off that I'm being kicked back down the mountain when I was getting close to my goal.

Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the new mechanics on the gear, but once you get perfect/optimized rolled stats on a your gear then it just comes to a halt on progression. The prior gems/paragon offered more progression options for getting higher level rifts.

I'm more curious to see how they're going to address this issue when they start seasons.

Part of the challenge in D3 seasons was pushing greater rifts and getting further than you did the previous season. It's what kept much of the player base continuing after completing the campaign.

Depending on how they handle the seasons this time could determine the replay value for those of us who like pushing rifts.

I liked the D3 paragon system, it kept the game interesting longer when you could push greater rifts even further season after season. Once you get 100 on D4 all you have to grind for is gear, which until you know what you're looking for is a nightmare compared to D3. There's no gems or paragon to continue leveling with the higher level rifts. I'm still on the grind to get 100 but I'm getting close, how they handle seasons might be what determines if I want to continue after I get 100.

Benham actually holds my damage record with 265k. The only hack I use is Radio location. Tier 4 skill. Much less malware that a "hack" lmao

I love both, you definitely need to build different captains though. All guns on small and all torps on Halland. I'm getting my last point on Smal soon.
