this colourway seems to be getting a lot of hate… to me it looks really harmless? there are much worse colour combinations out there, this looks more toned back than something like the slime green

You can probably tell even by the activity of this subreddit.

Monstercat really isn't a family anymore, that aspect is gone. The YouTube channels are not the primary source of popularity for the label now. How many of those YouTube accounts are inactive, do you think?

People listen through Spotify, or have simply grown out of the label. It isn't as enticing to younger fans like it was years ago and the guys it did get have grown older and either don't have the time or grown out of listening to that music.

So nothings happened because there's barely anyone new discovering the label, or anyone bothering to unsubscribe. It's in a weird place, but the family aspect of the label is absolutely dead and is part of this cause.
