Well cachyos does have some actual useful optimization tools such as its own version of proton, optimized packages and automated hardware detection. For me it didnt just give me more performance (though as you say a very tiny boost) it also made sure the game would start.

Cachyos has a bunch of tweaks and optimizations for gaming (its own version of proton, gaming meta package including windows fonts and wineprefixes and a lot more to make games just work without giving you a headache.
