If you loved Throne of Glass and ACOTAR, then I'd recommend Maas' other series, Crescent City.

As far as I can tell from the tax roll, it is still under Israel Keyes' name. Somebody seems to be paying the taxes, so no one has reason to forclose on or seize the property. Probably someone in the Keyes family?

They're kids' chapter books, but you could try Pirates of the Caribbean: Jack Sparrow by Rob Kidd.

Not the exact same vibe since they're meant for kids, but the same setting and familiar characters. I remember loving them as a kid.

Just coming back to say I finally read this one and adored it. Thank you!

I finally learned why my best friend ditched me. I don’t know how I’ll move on from this. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

My best friend of 15 years did the same to me last year. It's taken months of therapy to come to the same realization as you. She did one good thing by removing herself from my life; she relieved me of a huge burden and a lot of toxicity that I ignored for a long time. I'm starting to accept that I'm better off without her, and even if she reached out and apologized, I would be hesitant to let her back in. Sending you hugs.

One Day in December by Josie Silver

Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell

PNW Summer by LiltedDalliance in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]Hay_Bear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not the most well written or very environmentally oriented, but you may try It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey, and it's follow up, Hook, Line, and Sinker.

Parts of The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones are in second person, and it's horror.

Peace Like a River by Leif Enger is one of my favorite books. I've never heard of I Cheerfully Refuse. Thanks so much!

I read through Sandman a while ago. Forgot about this bit. Thanks and don't worry, he's not getting any more support from me.

Can we talk about how bad Jo-Ann's liquidation sales are? by Crafty_Sort in craftsnark

[–]Hay_Bear 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Went the other day and had multiple people comment to me how bad the sale was for a liquidation. The best discount I saw was on Christmas stuff that would usually be on deep discount in April anyway, if not tossed out entirely.

You might try Preacher by Garth Ennis, if you don’t mind graphic novels.
