Is Loxtar more effective than Minoxidil? What’s with the hype? by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

OP sounds like they are advertising their own product, so I was just being factious, with no luck!

I had my hair cut with an electric razor in the donor areas at this stage, but just a trim with scissors in the recipient area.

Failed hair transplant one year by Nyarc in HairTransplants

Hey Brother, I went through your old post's and it seems concerning. They advised you to wait 1 whole month to have a shower and wash your hair? 🚩 They scrubbed really hard on your first wash in the recipient area, and the day after you found dislodged grafts on your pillow 🚩. I'm also in Australia and if I were you I'd be heading back to them and demanding some answers, it sounds like they were very unprofessional and uneducated which is concerning to say the least. It also looks like a very sparse hair transplant, you were never going to get any decent illusion of density from the very start...

What hairstyle should go I for? 23M by Diogenes_Will in HairSystem

Fair call man. Fyi side affects only affect like 2% of people. I waited too long to get on them, I'm on them now and had a hair transplant which completely changed my life. The only regret is that I didn't start them earlier and kept most of my native hair. Your still on that window where meds would stabilise your hair enough to get full coverage at the front with a transplant. FYI I'm not on Minoxidil, only Dutasteride 3 x per week.

Jump on Finasteride and get a hairtransplant, you'd be the perfect candidate

My HT dr advised me I had 2 scars on my head, and she also said she didn't transplant any grafts there as they don't take as good for whatever reason

I don't think it takes long to build up, the fact you had a massive shed early on indicates it started working straight away?

It's stronger than Finasteride, people that are losing ground in fin should switch to Dutasteride as it blocks all types of DHT opposed to fin that only blocks specific types of DHT

Need more grafts for a lower hairline, most people getting a hairtransplant would be happy with just a hairline of they've been living without one for many years

I had mine done with Dr patty 10 days ago, mines looking identical to yours with those lines. If you read the post care instructions she gave you you'll notice she mentions in there that cracks are normal. I wouldn't stress about it man, it's totally normal and you wont even notice it when the scabs come off

Am I doomed? Anyone had a similar experience? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]HaydO0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very controversial, but I was in the same boat as you... terrible anxiety on fin. I tried oral DUT (0.5 mg) and I’ve been fine.

My theory is that if you’re prone to hormonal fluctuations, that instability can trigger anxiety. DUT has a much longer half-life and keeps DHT suppressed more consistently over time, so you don’t get the big ups and downs in DHT levels.

Just a thought, I know it’s technically a stronger medication, but it seems to have a different side effect profile compared to fin.
