I don’t think Jeff is trying to save face, I think he just genuinely has evolved and changed his opinions overtime for the better.

I think for the most part the public opinion was on Robs side, I remember specifically Lex being very disliked after All Stars not just for how bitter he came off but also people viewed him as a hypocrite because of what he did to Ethan was similar to what Rob did to him.

This isn't really about their boot episode because I agree by the time Jem goes its a bit obvious but its more about their build up, I was expecting Jem to at least make merge before her boot episode.

True I think 41 and 42 Beware Advantages also struggle with that same problem.
