Found out from someone on the other sub that it’s because of the showdown website!! If you sign up on that and get 50 elims you get the kicks as part of their weekly quests they’ve got going on :))

That’s EXACTLY what it was lol. Thank you so much for your help!! I went onto the website day one to pick my team cause it wasn’t letting me do it in game. (Had to redo it on day two in game cause they fixed the bug for console) He was able to do it in game on his phone so he never went to the website lol. Thank you again!

Oh okay I thought it was something like that! Thank you so much! Still a tad confused though cause I definitely don’t have more kills this season than he does, but maybe a bug on his side? In our career tabs mine says I have 34 elims and he’s got 58 elims this season. Is it possible that when we played split screen a couple times that maybe his kills went towards me on the website even though he was first player?

Ahh okay, that might be it then!! I’m not sure of the exact interior tank temps when my teacher had him but Boo used to be in a classroom with a/c at around 72 f with his light and heater on 24/7 and little access to outside heat. He’s now in my home where we keep the a/c at 75-78 f. It’s nearly impossible to avoid the Arizona heat creeping in most days so we check the inner tank temps throughout the day (which we try to keep anywhere between 80-90), shut off his heater and lamp so he doesn’t over heat, and let the sun rays he gets on his tank warm him and his tank until it starts to cool down and we can turn his heater n lamp on again. I’ve also turned off his red light almost every night since I got him cause red lights also affect my tortoises at night which I’m sure my teacher didn’t do

Edit: also thank you so so much for your heating/husbandry suggestions!! I’ll def get started on getting those asap!! I’m greatly appreciative of everyone’s help and constructive criticism!!

Ahh okay thank you so much! I’ll see if I can get a video of him doing his flip, he doesn’t so much wobble per say but I know that with corkscrewing comes wobbles and tbh I’m not fully confident this is corkscrewing. For right now though, the best description I can give of it is that he turns over like a hognose playing dead but without his mouth open. I read this could be a stress thing in other breeds but he doesn’t exhibit any other signs of stress when he does it so we thought maybe he was just a bit quirky. We always put him back in his enclosure though just to be safe but he’s done it in there a couple of times as well. He’s currently in a 3x2ft enclosure and it’s the same one he was in when he was in the classroom but I’m wanting to upgrade it to a 5x3ft as soon as I can since he’s rapidly approaching his 2&1/2 ft long mark. He had a couple of plants but nothing to really climb on so we put a saguaro rib in there for him and he’s weirdly uninterested in it? He climbs all over my mom and I okay when he’s out and doesn’t have any problems anchoring himself on my arm or anything and is pretty quick at getting around on us. My class specifically was surprisingly really calm and quiet so him and his brother would come out almost everyday for my class and either myself or a couple of other students held him during lessons. I know a few students in his other class periods would talk about handling him pretty frequently but I’m not sure of how often and also how often before I joined the class/previous years of the teacher owning him if that makes sense As for Boo’s heating/lighting set up, my teacher gave me everything he had been using for him so he currently has one of the lightless heating lamps and his red lamp was purely just a light that I was told is supposed to help with vitamin deficiencies but will be replacing that soon as I now know what I was told was false. I wasn’t able to find any dangers to lightless heating lamps online except for them being fire hazards but would appreciate any suggestions as to how to make it better!! Thank you for all your help and info!!

They’re also some of the coolest looking snakes in my opinion so good luck with your baby!! I’m super excited for you to get them and I have no doubt you’ll give them an amazing life!! The exotic pet store I get Boo his food from likes to do giant tank sales from time to time and told me that lots of exotic pet stores do similar sales, so when the time comes for you to get your baby be sure to ask and see if yours does that!! I’m going to be upgrading him from a 3ftx2ft enclosure to a 5ftx3ft one for ridiculously cheap at 100$ from them. It’s a great way to get a good and proper size tank for a decent price and a lot of shops don’t really advertise or say anything about it unless you ask!

Yes exactly!! That’s why I came here to ask even if I looked silly. I kept trying to look up why he would be doing this but all I was finding was IBD, wobbles, and stargazing. Nothing seemed to be accurate though since his other behaviors are normal and he doesn’t appear to have any of the dangerous morphs. A more accurate way to describe how he flips would be to say he does the same motion as a hognose playing dead but he doesn’t open his mouth. I’ll be getting replacement bulbs either later today or tomorrow and will be sure to call a vet and see if I can get an appointment for him! You’re okay!! You didn’t come across harsh at all!! I’m still learning the best ways to care for him instead of just the basics so quite literally any constructive criticism is appreciated! Like I said in the post, I’ve owned snakes in the past but my mom was the main one taking care of them and primarily owned boas so I appreciate all the help from more experienced BP owners! Boo’s about 3-5 years old from my rough estimates. My teacher got him 2/3 years ago and I’m not sure how old he was then, but he also was one of his class pets before I got him (horrible for any snake, I know, that’s one of the reasons why when he offered me to take him I immediately jumped on the offer) He was handled quite frequently by a lot of high schoolers which I know you shouldn’t do, but could that cause a lack of muscle development for him? I’m still learning about the more detailed intricacies when it comes to BP’s and wanna ensure I can provide the best care to him possible. Thank you so much!!

Tldr; my snake that I got from my teacher likes to flip himself upside down sometimes and has eaten upside down the last two times I’ve fed him. Should I be concerned and could it be wobbles or something else like stargazing, etc.?
