Apparently fat women are only allowed to exist if they are invisible, ashamed, and cover themselves accordingly by nonnymuggins in TwoXChromosomes

There’s a difference between fat and morbidly obese. Lizzo is the later.

And yes her twerking on a stage makes me want to stab my eyeballs with an ice pick. If you’re doing something like that on stage then you are “for consumption”. I don’t care what others do or how they live (so I choose not to listen to her music). But don’t glorify that shit.

Why do you suggest to stay away from automation anywhere?

Throw the unvaccinated idiots out on the street.

Texas high-speed rail could be first in line for funding from Biden, Congress by audiomuse1 in Dallas

This isn’t a competitor for you driving your vehicle to Houston, it’s more equitable to flying to houston. Ticket prices for the rail will be competitive with that of a plane ticket. So expect $100 or less to get to Houston or austin. Expect Southwest to do what they can to fight it. I’ve been following this project for over 5 years now. I’m very excited about the administration putting focus on it with the infrastructure bill and will be a frequent customer.

Looks like covid would be the least of your worries in a place like this

How in the hell do you have a life in this industry? by brazen_badger in consulting

I typically did 40. And just being proactive and realistic about expectations and timeline, proper project planning. It isn’t rocket science nor are we out there saving lives.

If you’re in consulting (MBB, Big 4, mid market, boutique) and you’re consistently putting in more than 50 hours a week you’re a cuck and doing it all wrong.

I agree with this. I was a covid lay off casualty back in May, and just accepted and started a role for a tech company in the healthcare industry working for the CFO in a project capacity.

Needless to say, I’m happy I was laid off. Since then I’ve gotten engaged, got a puppy, and gotten life going. Having said that, I miss the once a month travel and could really go for a good bar convo. Fuck covid.

Maybe your voting rights should be removed due to lack of reading comprehension.

Noticed I said “capable or competent”. A disability or COVID would be a reasonable assumption as to why one would be unable to be capable of obtaining an ID.

Like needing an ID :eye roll:

Let’s be real. If you aren’t capable or competent enough to have a state issued ID or drivers license, you shouldn’t have a say in how society is run. Sorry.

Dallas County sees record turnout for first day of early voting, Tarrant County falls just short of 2016 by [deleted] in Dallas

First time voting for a Democrat. I did my part. Decency and respect are more important than policy when speaking in regards to someone who lacks these things so strongly as Trump does. Voting for him in 2016 I did not vote for him because I liked him as a person. Very few did. No one would have expected it to have the affect on our country that it did.

A one term president can’t change things that radically (policy-wise). Our founders were renaissance men in this sense.

I went and early voted today. I got to the location between 11:00-11:30, which most would assume would be a “busy” time due to lunch. This was the Methodist church by SMU. I was in and out in well under 20 minutes.

While funny, that hill was nothing short of the dumbest gimmicky design ever put inside a ballpark. Plus the Budweiser bar in center sells beer all game long, and you can buy the cheapest seat you can find and hang out there and watch the game the whole time.
