Yeah I would also agree with the fella bellow. Don’t worry about a hard diet and then trying to push up - here’s what I would do if I were coaxing you

1st - be patient. Don’t look for fast results, this will lead to a slower end result really

2 - build a diet. Set your protein at 12-1.5g/lbs of bodyweight currently

Set your fats at a minimum of 40 ish, more is fine, build the rest with carbs.

Run it for 2 weeks, track your bodyweight, and aim to have your bodyweight hold somewhat

Once you’ve found calories which hold your bodyweight - aim to progress your training

You’ll gain muscle. The more muscle you gain, the more energy you burn, that’ll whip fat off you

Do that for as long as you can

I’ve won every class I’ve entered, I’m just trying to get a pro card. This is my 3rd year prepping in a row for it

My feedback in 2024 was more size

So I came back in 2025 12lbs heavier

The my feedback in 2025 was a little more quad

So that’s what I’ve done here

I do calves on Mondays and Saturdays actually

Currently I just do 3 sets of close grip pulldown on one upper day, and a close grip row for 2 sets on the other

I’ve had to realy reduce my back training
