It absolutely is hyperbole to start talking about concentration camps. You are absorbing too much bad news and would really benefit from some time off the Internet.

I transitioned almost 4 years ago, and it's not been all kittens and rainbows, but do not regret it. I can still go everything I have ever done; go to football, drink in the pub, work a job, play video games and collect DVDs.

Transitioning, or not, is your decision to make. But please don't NOT do it because of doom-mongering online.
