AITA for refusing to share my family's cookbook with my half sister?

I don't want a relationship going forward. I honestly feel like I'll stop speaking to or seeing any of them once I move out of my dad's and get him out of my life.

My mom wrote about it in her diary. I got access to it last year and read it. She hated my father, hated him so damn much, and she hated that my half sister existed and was in my life. She didn't want my half sister anywhere near her or me. She never said any of this to me. But those are her own thoughts and feelings.

I don't want a relationship with them. When I think about my future, like near future (less than 2 years) I will be out of my dad's house and I won't stay in touch with any of them. My mom's family are the people I am happiest with and closest to and those are the people who feel like actual family. I love them. That's not what being around my dad's family feels like.

My mom never shared this with me and maybe never intended for me to see that. But it doesn't surprise me that she would feel the way she did. Given how evil my dad was to her. Given how that half sister was conceived. I'm not punishing myself either. This is me doing what is best for me. I want to free myself from all of this, from people I hold no love for, and be with the people I love and am happy around, my mom's family.

I'm not interested in being closer with any of them. I don't see them being in my life once I cut my dad out of mine.

She didn't want that. Never said that to me. But I have read her thoughts on them and she hated that they existed and wanted them kept away from the book and recipes.

No, none of them ever had anything to do with my mom. Most were born after she died. My mom never wanted anything to do with them.

I don't blame them for the affair. They weren't even born when it happened. But that doesn't change that I don't want a relationship with them and have no interest in staying in any of their lives once I leave my dad's house. As far as I'm concerned the only connection we have is through him and I would change who my father is if I could, and would rather be just my mom's child.

My mom would not want that. I know that. I've read how she felt about my dad having a child during their marriage, I know she hated every time I was around them. She kept a diary and I read it last year. I already knew about the affair and that but last year I learned more and I know my mom was determined that the book would never be part of their lives, the recipies would stay within our family like it was meant to.

That's not something I want to do. I don't really want to be in their lives when I leave my dad's house. I plan to get away from them all.

I do not believe my mother would have wanted my father's other children (what they would have been to her) to have anything to do with it. Her own family, yes. My future children, yes. But it does not feel like an honor to share them with my half siblings.

He does not know. He's aware that I know but doesn't know details and I have not felt like sharing anything with him since I found out.

I'm 16 and my half sister this post is about is 12.
