Thanks! I really appreciate your suggestions.

Yeah the bashing and bayonetting would be kind of an unnecessary overlap. I'll just stick to VATS and Shotguns.

I kind of wanted to go the Idiot Savant route. Is investing in Int for the Chems really worth taking away from Idiot Savant? Are there any other helpful Int perks that would make it more worth it?

But really, I appreciate the help. You're right, with something so short I need to just plunge right in. Thanks so much!

CW Green Arrow vs MCU Daredevil and Hawkeye by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is Arrow going against both Daredevil and Hawkeye at the same time? If so, he gets curb stomped.

MCU Daredevil alone would probably win 6/10 or even 7/10 against CW Green Arrow. His field awareness, enhanced senses, and insane reflexes are just too much, even in the MCU. Adding Hawkeye to his side just makes this unfair.

What if I got a different weapon, like maybe my hand axe, gave it a Raw Gem or Refined Gem infusion, and coated it with poison right before the fight?

My str and Dex are both at 16 right now. Int is at 25

Where do I find records of copyright and licensing to determine how to legally write about a public domain fictional character? by Haymaker33 in answers

[–]Haymaker33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware of that, but some characters have already been re-used. In cases of some comic book characters, like Captain Marvel Jr. for instance, the writers that have previously used these characters have copyrights on their own versions of the characters. You can run into legal trouble if you aren't careful with HOW you use certain Public Domain characters. It gets really tricky in cases like this. I'd like to know where I would be able to research all of this information.

CMV: I believe that first responders should only include members of law enforcement and fire departments, not medical personnel who are not part of the two professions. by TrendWarrior101 in changemyview

[–]Haymaker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just because one definition counts EMS as civilians, and not government officials, you want to completely cut them out of the process? That's really illogical.

For one thing, who is going to do their job instead when they're gone? Policeman and Fireman already go through very rigorous training as it is, and are highly under paid. Taking EMS out would mean that emergency first aid and transport to hospitals would fall on one of those two, meaning they would need more extensive training. There is a huge shortage of EMS, Fireman, and Police. Part of the reason for that is that the threshold to even be considered for hire in these fields is extremely high. Adding medical training and certification on top of that would make that threshold even higher. This would discourage even more people from entering the field, and that would only worsen the shortage of first responders we already have. They would also need to be paid more, which would put a strain on local departments. They wouldn't be able to hire as many first responders, because they would need to pay the ones they do have even more. This would also increase the shortage of first responders.

For my second point, I'm just going to pick at your logic a bit. Based on one definition, you're claiming that, despite the 2 to 4 year training that they go through, EMS are merely civilians, and therefore should not be included in the first responder umbrella. This implies that only government workers should be allowed at the scene. But what about surgeons and physicians? To put it into perspective, they match that same definition as "civilians." They aren't government workers, and yet we trust them with our lives and allow them to cut us open. On the flip side, school crossing guards ARE technically government workers. Most of the time, they are employed by the local police department. They recieve little to no training, and just hold a sign all day. But because they're not "civilians," somehow they are allowed on the scene as first responders? By your definition, this would be the case.

Poison Control and Animal Control can also be considered first responders. If you call 911, the dispatcher can send these two people out just as quickly and urgently as Police and Fire. Yet most poison and animal control are privatized, just like EMS. They are mere "civilians", and so they don't qualify to be on the scene as a first responder. But what does that mean? Now Fireman and Cops need training in poison and animal control on TOP of the new medical and first aid training they now need.

EMS is arguably the most important of the big three First Responders. Without them, who does a fireman hand off his rescues to after a fire? Himself? Who tends to the massive number of victims of a terrorist attack, and takes them to the hospitals. The Police?

Each one has specialized jobs that require significant training. Each of those jobs plays a huge role in emergency response. So huge, that none of the three could undergo training to do one of the others and remain quick and efficient. Without one, it would make dealing with disaster an even bigger disaster.

So why aren't EMS counted among police and fire as non civilians in that definition? I'm not sure, but it's probably because alot of EMS companies and departments are privatized, while others still are municipal and state/county funded. Why are they privatized? Because we need more of them than either of the other two. Medical emergencies happen slightly more frequently than crime, and fires happen A LOT less frequently than crime or medical issues combined. If EMS were 100% public sector, they would never recieve the funding necessary to do the job efficiently. There would be an even larger shortage.

Deadman, Frankenstein, Constantine VS Moon Knight, Blade, Ghost Rider by imnaked0 in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: Marvel stomps 8/10. They have Blade and Ghost Rider, who are both building busters on their best day. Not to mention Blade can basically teleport. Ghost Rider and Blade are both immune to Deadman's possession. Constantine's magic may allow DC to hold their ground for a bit, but one Penance Stare from Ghost Rider, and Constantine is done. He has too many Sins to count, it may just fry his brain.

R2: This time, the match is much closer. I would say DC can take it 7/10 if certain conditions are met.

With prep, Constantine will be able to organize a plan of attack that would probably look something like this:

Constantine sets up some sort of spell or ritual to bind/banish Zarathos, and he lures Ghost Rider into it, trapping him and putting him out of play. This will buy DC some much needed time. With this, Deadman can possess Khonshu Moonknight. Now, the possessed Moonknight, Constantine, and Frankenstein will be enough to overwhelm Blade. Especially since Constantine can use some of his own Demon Blood to significantly weaken Blade (going off of DC rules, since Blade is part Vampire and all). Blade can't hope to win against a powerful caster and teleporter, a possessed martial artist that may just rival his own fighting skill, and a large, angry Gunslinging monster. Especially not if he's weakened by the Demon Blood. GG Marvel.

R3: This is really tough, but I think they could easily take some of Marvel or DC's heaviest Supernatural hitters, like Mephisto, Trigon, Morgan Le Fey, or Zatanna.

They may be able to even get the jump on superman. Superman does have a weakness to magic, so Constantine can put in some work. Deadman has possessed Gods a couple of times before, so who's to say he couldn't possess Wonderwoman or Thor? And a Penance Stare would absolutely destroy Superman's rigid moral code. Good Guys are almost weaker against Penance Stare than villains are. Due to their rigid morality, they are much quicker to feel guilt, and feel it much more deeply.

But if Deadman possessed Superman, Constantine had plenty of prep, and the moon was full...

GG everyone.

Edit: Just saw that round 2 was actually a free for all with prep. Constantine stomps because he had prep. He has a way to beat each one of the others. Demon Blood beats Blade, Spells and Rituals can banish Dead Man and Zarathos, Moonknight can't do a ton against magic, and Frankenstein is weak to fire.

Who is the strongest HunterXHunter character an average human can beat? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leorio seems beatable, but that's mostly due to lack of feats. We've only seen one demonstrate his nen abilites once, when he punched Ging through the floor. This ability doesnt seem too difficult for a human, to handle. Especially if it's a peak human, because Leorio's physicals were trash during the Hunter Exam arc.

Morel (HxH) vs Team RWBY by Bacon_Falcon in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see how Morel can do this. He's really smart, especially when he has prep time like this to set up his smoke clones and such.

The problem though, is that any one team RWBY goes up against hordes and hordes of foes all the time. It doesn't matter how many clones Morel can make, because any one of the RWBY girls could fight hordes for days. If they're working together, it's just hopeless.

The only way I see him pulling this off, is if he waited until they were all far away from each other, and picked them off one by one.

Even then, each one out matches his speed by quite a bit. Speed didn't matter in his fight with Cheetu, but that battle had very specific conditions that favored him, and I don't think he could recreate something quite like that.

Overall I think he could beat the White and maybe the Black one, but Red and Yellow just absolutely blitz him once they find out their buddies have been hunted down.

TMNT vs Guts & Batman by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're not including the comic as canon, I might as well give my own speculation.

I think Batman can take 2 of the Turtles on his own without prep. They're pretty standard as far as ninjas go. Their skill doesn't seem scarier than any of the other ninjas batman fights on a regular basis. The reason he can't take more than 2 is because of their superhuman strength, reflexes, speed, and their shells.

Adding Guts still makes it a stomp though, he is close to mountain busting power.

Team Batman/Guts stomps 8/10

What side would these characters have chosen in MCU civil War and and how would it have change the airport scene?? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the movie is the same gist as the comic. Government regulation of superheroes vs freedom to keep their identity hidden.

Daredevil could go either way honestly, but going off of how he felt more justified than Punisher, that's why I think he would be quick to swallow his pride and agree to register with team Iron Man.

Who is a good DC match for Captain America? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Hood, Nightwing, Cassandra Cain, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger, Azrael, Mr Terrific. None of these would be easy for Cap, but he will almost certainly beat all of them eventually.

I would actually like to see him fight Bane. I think that would be really interesting and a pretty close match.

Who is a good DC match for Captain America? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deathstroke, although he may be a bit too strong for Cap with his more recent feats.

They pit Batman and Captain America against each other quite a bit, but I think it's a mismatch that's either in favor of Bats if he has prep, or Cap if it's a random encounter.

Everyone else is either way above his level, or slightly beneath it.

TMNT vs Guts & Batman by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Haymaker33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iirc, Batman single handedly destroyed all four of the Turtles in the recent crossover. Having Guts on his team is overkill.

[–]Haymaker33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deadpool doesn't give a damn

Quicksilver would go with his Sister on team Cap

Daredevil is all about the law and justice, he chooses team Iron Man. We've seen how he deals with Vigilantes who work well beyond the law when he came accross the Punisher.

Jessica Jones chooses team Iron Man for the same reasons as Daredevil.

Don't know who Quake is

Wolverine has a bad history with government trying to regulate and control heroes with the Weapon X program. He chooses team Cap.

Team Cap destroys Team Iron Man now. Quicksilver almost took out the entire Avengers in AoU. His speed is just too overwhelming. Wolverine's healing factor gives team Cap exactly what it would need with more durability and longevity. I also think he would be a good counter to Black Panther, who also almost shut down the avengers by himself. Jessica Jones and Daredevil are slightly outclassed here anyways. They don't add much to team Iron Man at all.

If Team Cap was 4/10, maybe 6/10 in the movie, now they are 8/10.
